3 years later, still the same shit. Dealer has a brand new 19 in CW, the color I want, with a $5K markup along with addons, bringing the total to $44K and change before TTL. They have an 18 RR with a few addons for around $38K before TTL. Smh sick of this bullshit. I shouldn't have to go out of state to buy a fucking car that is 3 model years old. Ridiculous.
Which dealership? We may be shopping the same places :)

Keyes right? Yeah i've tried them a couple times as well. Back in the day they actually had better deals than they do now, it seems. I still text the guy there from time to time to see if they have changed their tune.
Yea

I know the fleet manager here. Sister has gotten 3 cars from him, bought my wifes HRV from him, and my mother-in-law got an HRV from here too, but they won't budge lol. Not him though, its the manager that won't move on the price.

Are they still doing the "mandatory" accessories of all of the carbon and lighting packages that add up to like $4K?

I'm finally starting to seriously consider an out of state purchase too, but I'm going to wait just a bit as inventories seem to be rising quickly right now. Hopefully more supply will finally put some downward pressure on prices. Not holding my breath though. I'd have been dead long ago if I did that. :) I imagine the rising inventory will help me find a '19 out of state at MSRP (I know there are a few dealers on here offering them now) so we'll see. I imagine SoCal will continue to have ADMs for a while until they're all sitting on 3-4 cars on their lots and they're still far from that even with supply going up.

I know you've been waiting at least as long as I was waiting and things haven't really changed much, you might just need to pull the trigger because who knows how long this ADM business holds up, it's possible it may never go away in SoCal. A plane or train ride to go pick it up out of state may not be that bad in the end. Maybe find a state that is cheaper on new car tax rate.

Be willing to travel is the key. It seems that most of Ohio is still at MSRP. I had a dealer in upstate New york get with me, they said they would take my MSRP offer to their manager today if I was willing to put down money immediately to save it if he agrees. The deals are there, just be willing to fly or ship it down.

Headquarters Honda in Clermont, Florida. MSRP PLUS 899 in accessories and you have to pay the install fees on those accessories they are forcing on you. Lost deal today because of it.

Dealers are still doing mark up. Alot of you just need to find the best deal and get your type R already. Everyone who has bought one has moved on about whatever they paid and are enjoying the car.

Sold my ILX today (took a pretty big hit on it too but still didn't end up negative persay) and we got a 2018 CRV last week. Gonna be driving around our HRV for now until I decided what I want to do. Got offered a Red 2018 R at MSRP but I passed for now for a couple personal reasons and another being I really want a CW. If anyone does want a red 2018, lmk. It is out in SoCal and I can get you in contact with my buddy over at the dealership where it is located. He is the Fleet Manager so you will be in good hands.
