I am looking at installing an Injen cold air intake on my 18 FK8 but am curious of Honda will void the warranty since it is set up to run on factory tune and requires no ECU reflash. I had an STI that had a Perrin intake that was the same way and Subaru said it was fine because it didn't require a tune. I know I can just change it back to stock if there are issues.

I'm guessing you have seen the people that have had injen regret it. They had all kinds of codes throw, etc...heat soak, etc.

As for warranty questions...I always say, if you're worried about a warranty, you shouldn't mod...

I'm not worried about the warranty just asking a simple question. Thank you for the other post however so I know what I will be changing.

I put a injen intake on around 800 miles, I now have around 5000 miles on my 2018 type r. Works great for me, never threw a code and I’m very happy with it

To answer your question no, warranty wont be voided. As per Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act the dealer has to prove such item caused the issue to void your warranty. You should reasearch around about the Injen intake before buying. IMHO the only positive I can speak of such intake is sound, thats it. It would be funny that a stock Type R with the oem airbox and oem filter beat you on the streets lol.

Well I ended up going with the Eventuri anyways. Looks way better and I noticed that if I'm cruising around 70 on the highway I get around 32 mpg
