Lmao at the Americans humble bragging about carrying handguns. You guys are soooooooo cool. We definitely needed models and calibers, "my gun" definitely wouldn't have been enough.

Also, this thread belongs in general any topic.
It's a hobby for some so of course they would list the model, some people just find it interesting so just let people be instead of being snarky lol. Anyways i usually just keep some microfiber towels and quick detailer in my glove box along with sunglasses or any other thing i might need on the road. As far as what i keep in the trunk i have a "JustinCase" bag that comes with anything i could possibly need if i had troubles with my car.

I have an HK USP .45 in the center console, a Desert Eagle .50AE in the glove box, a S&W .500 Magnum under the driver seat, and an AR-10 in the trunk, just in case...

Just kidding. I have a phone charger, some mechanical pencils, and some floss. I would never own a .500 magnum, I shot one once and my hand doesn't want any bit of that ever again.

Console - USB cable, bottle of water, loose coin.

Trunk - I have a foldable storage organizer for groceries and such.

Surprised people don't carry jumper cables for a dead battery, I thought it was common.

Just curious. Anyone come close to using their CCW for self defense?
Not yet. Itā€™s supposed to be there in case something happens. But itā€™s nice to have in bad areas of the city, home defense etc.

It's definitely a TX thing. I believe there is 12.8 guns registered per person in the state.

Glove box: Owner's manual, Streamlight ProTac HC 850 lumen rechargeable tactical flashlight, registration & insurance cards, Energy bar, HondaCare paperwork.

Front of console under cupholder: Michelin digital tire pressure gauge, rear of console: Logbook for recording fuel & actual calculated MPG, small calculator, EZpass w/suction cup mount, fuel credit cards in metal case in coin tray, glass break tool & seatbelt cutter. Dash cubby in front of shifter: clip-on sunglasses.

Trunk: Honda trunk liner, small plastic crate containing a spare Quart of Mobil1 EP 0W-20 oil (never used) 2 shop cloths, 4-in one screwdriver, small Channelocks, small Halon fire extinguisher, glass cleaner & a roll of paper towels. Spare set of wiper inserts wrapped around spare tire. Small first aid kit left over from my Miata. Folded blanket in back seat covering a small umbrella.

Usually carried in cross-draw driving holster: Glock M43 with 2 GlockStore +2 magazines. Ameriglo Spartan night sights, Vickers extended slide stop, Johnny Glock 4.5 lb Pure Carry trigger, Federal 147gr HST LE ammunition. As a retired officer, I NEVER leave a weapon in the vehicle, it's always on my person, as a large percentage of stolen guns come from cars. Also never leave home without my Benchmade Mini-Barrage assisted-opening folding knife. When going to any state other than Pa or Ohio, Glock stays home. Oh yeah, a Swiffer in the door pocket to clean the dust off the screen.

That's pretty much it, hopefully enough detail :bat:

Wow I think you're are the most prepared person on here haha. Are those collapsible police batons legal to keep in a car?

The collapsible tactical batons possession & use varies by state, generally they are considered an "offensive" weapon and their use is governed by use of deadly force laws. They can be purchased thru various sources, but like switchblades & automatic knives, possession, carry & use can vary from total prohibition to uncertainty over legalities due to varying local, state & federal laws, but generally, no, not a prudent thing unless specifically permitted. States that have concealed carry laws are generally clear on firearms, but unclear on other types of weapons. Laws governing knives are very confusing & conflicting, especially in states like NY. The real test of using anything in a defensive manner comes after you actually use it, weather or not it's use was justified and/or reasonable. One way or another, if you defend yourself from an attack, you're going to need an attorney. In today's society, an injured attacker always seems to have more rights than the person he/she attacked. Interestingly, at 71 and being legally handicapped due to previous injuries, I have more rights to defend myself due to a limited ability to retreat. It's very confusing out there!:dunno:

Haha, doubt a s&w .50p would even fit under seats the barrel is so long.

I learned to carry $100 bill and low credit limit card requested at $1,000 for emergencies, where you forget your wallet.

The gloves box, quoting FLOSSY CARTER here...books & sh*t, pluck 'em and file 'em. LOL

Center has charger, cables, body spray, mouthwash.

SWIM's very slim currently, and used to weigh 30-40lbs more. Weight reduction is for the Nissan Leaf and obese folks.
  • A week's worth of emergency rations
  • Water for a tad longer
  • Emergency blankets (foil)
  • Emergency knife
  • Paracord
  • Ridiculously high lumenosity LED low beams for rural and backwoods driving.
  • Partial spare of all season washer fluid
  • Flares and electronic markers
  • Lithium battery combo charger/jumper power supply (has a tiny air pump too)
  • Normal tire inflator
  • Mud and snow tracks
  • Socket for wheel nuts, and a torque wrench
  • First Aid emergency kit
  • Fire extinguisher
That's just what I recall is in the trunk. I have a secure locking box for valuables and personal items locked to the passenger seat.
