@IcySerg ultimately you will need to decide what your power goals are and what sort of other things you need for the turbo to do for you. As mentioned you have smog, which I know is no joke in CA. With the bigger turbo kits, you will as mentioned have to swap everything back to stock, put a base tune back on, put stock intake and such, and more. That will take time and money, It's a pretty involved install. We designed the W1 so you don't have to do any of that. Our 27WON turbo kit retains all the factory heat shields, electronics, and everything. Once it's installed you will pretty much never know its there by looking at it. So it's a one and done. The W1 is capable of around 380whp from what we have seen with the correct fueling. Do you plan on doing heavy drag racing or anything? Is this a daily or a weekend car? How important is the ability to retain boost by gear functions and such for you? The answers to those questions will help point you in the right direction.

Where is the fun in that?
You can look for even bigger fishes

The OP looks to beat STI or EVOs.

The STI/EVO owners are looking to beat cars like RS3, M3, M4, Camaro SS, non s/c corvette, etc

Just leave your car as it is, that is unless you can afford to throw it away as a throw away car. Beating someone else is not going to make you into a better man or even be that big a deal. Sure, if you are going to actually use the car exclusively as a race car and you can afford to, go for it but, as your daily driver, I say to leave it alone.
I agree what you’re saying Leaving it stock increase resell value

just to throw it out there this is what my EvoX made with following bolt-ons if you are looking for a good idea

Grimmspeed boost controller
ETS Intake
AMS widemouth Downpipe
AMS TestPipe (eliminated cat)
AMS intercooler
Burschur intercooler piping hot & cold
Greddy Ti-C exhaust (tapered to 2.75" sadface)
FIC 1100cc injectors
93 octane

Junior Tuned @ TurboTrix racing in Jersey (when they were around)

378whp / 370trq dynojet (hard stopped the torque due to horror stories about engines blowing up past that torque).
Was fully spooled and all the torque was there by 3400rpm on stock turbo

I then upgraded turbo to an FP Green and did 426whp and 410trq with having to move the torque curve over.

After that, I lost interest, but Mitsubishi came out with a turbo that was bolt on for this platform. I forgot if it was called MHI or MTI or whatever, but supposedly that guaranteed 400whp and was way cheaper than the FP Green. Never looked into it, but I imagine the later adopters got the MHI turbo to just join the 400whp club, while forcing the retainment of 370trq.

@IcySerg Thanks for your interest in our big turbo kit upgrade. This is all going to depend on budget and power goals, 27won offers a nice drop-in turbo upgrade at a great price point that appeals to some . Our kit offers even more power potential than a drop-in upgrade could ever offer. We have seen 400whp on a dynojet, but disregard dyno numbers here. Both companies use different dynos so there are different readings. Please contact directly if you would like to discuss anything further as we would be happy to assist you with this :)

If you are looking to have a fun street/daily car and not give up on anything you already have then the W1 is a good choice. Super easy install, 100% drop in with zero modification required. Works with all the parts you already have, retains the boost by gear and EWG functions and comes with our 1-year warranty. It can easily get you in the 350-380 window and can beat up on some cars if you so wish. You has the end user will ultimately need to decide what is best for you. We find this turbo to be a great bolt on and ready to go unit. Check out our blogs if you have any other questions or hit us up.

Honda Civic 10th gen Opinions on which turbo to get. tenor

I always wondered what would happen if the 27WON guy started working for PRL and the PRL guy started working for 27WON. Would these two change their recommendations for which turbo to get as well?

Did you expect anything different from either one?

I think the V tech High Revers were better for tuning. Among other things. Just sayin'.
