Wish you the best of luck with that FA24 motor, they had A LOT of issues in their first few years. Hopefully they worked out the kinks. I owned a '13 FRS and the FA20 has it's fair share of problems as well.

Thanks. If it gives issues, I will see. Not planning to keep it beyond warranty - might get extended warranty if I want to keep it for 5 years. In any case, engine is covered for 5 years. 3 people in my team bought them last year - 20k miles, no issues for them. So I am sure things have been ironed out. Its definitely not as refined as Si but it has so much raw power, I think Type R would be the only car I would want to buy next. But most probably this is my last stick shift - not sure if my family will grow next year. I wanted to make it count and get WRX out of my system. I only wish Honda dealers in DFW had some integrity. Even Mazda dealers were better and was really close to buying Mazda3 HB which has fantastic discounts.

Just heard from Joe Headley at Sons Honda in Mcdonough Georgia (404-784-1150) that they have a 2019 CW Type R being prepped. He said that there will be some accessories, but could not tell me what they would be or how much (thus the naughty list) until they are on the car. Tell him David sent you.

Just got my 19’ sonic grey from there. I noticed the custom wrapped one but my color still looked cleaner.
I got my 18 Black from them at MSRP. OTD was 38xxx. But I had to pay it back by sitting for 5 hours through the finance lady, even when I told her I don't want to get any extended warranty... etc .

I managed to get them to agree to Sonic Grey MSRP but decided against it since the black one looked better in person and paying extra grand for 19 model was not worth it.

the color for me was worth it since it’s a rare one. They did the same thing to me. Finished the deal till 4am. Probably hated the fact that they didn’t make as much as they wanted too on the deal. And I also remembered that my salesman told me about the 18’ black type r going for mrsp since they had like 5-8 sitting around and they needed to move units.

Please add Honda of Toms River on the list. They were doing +5k ADM back in late October.

Had a rather unpleasant phone call with the sales rep.
When I made it clear that their ADM was just too high, the sales rep replied several times "I don't understand, this is the pricing for an enthusiast car". I just checked and looks like they still have at least 1 CW in stock.

I dealt with someone at Hamilton Honda. they have a variety of CTR's in different colors and years. some have a few accessories ($449) some have more like interior illumination and such , and some have nothing on it.. im waiting for a Sonic grey from this dealership and my salesperson has been super helpful. they seem to always have a couple different choices on the lot

Hamilton is doing a 1.1k ADM through a care package that they add on. Not as bad as some of the other dealers, but I'm not interested in anything over MSRP.

the accessories they have are pretty nice tho, im waiting for a sonic grey pearl to come in in march from Hamilton Honda and I have to say the experience has been pretty good. Interior and console illumination with all season mats as the accessories. I think those accessories are a heck of a lot better then a lot of other places. accessories I actually wouldn't mind coming with the vehicle. Plus as I said in a previous post, they have a variety of CTR's a lot of the times, ranging from little to no accessories, and then sometimes they have a little more. My salesperson has been awesome too.

Went and looked at a 2019 CW at Auto Nation Honda in Westminster, CO this morning. They want $5,000 mark up and $1,300 in accessories. Won't budge. Final price was around $46,500 OTD. Stupid.

Honda of Miami Lakes. They claim MSRP. I do the entire deal talking to them via email and set up to drive down this weekend so I ask for the full write up to show my wife and get all set to drive 3 hours down there. Then I get an email 10 mins later all 3 Type Rs are suddenly sold!!! They have 1 2019 left at 5k over MSRP. I said uhh you told me MSRP and that's it on the blue 2019, now you suddenly said they are sold and you want 5k over MSRP when I ask for the paperwork breakdown. No thanks..

MSRP + 5000 after they claim it will be sold at MSRP through multiple emails, very scammy dealership.

Stay away from Miami Lakes.

Add Westshore Honda in Tampa, Florida to the list. MSRP + 1995 Westshore Advantage package.

I'm honestly sick and tired of these dealers saying MSRP and then when I ask for the breakdown to go buy, they slide in these BS additions on top of it. Don't waste our time, you AREN'T selling it at MSRP no matter what you claim. I am so thankful I have 3 cars and can wait to add a 4 door Civic to my collection. One of these dealers will eventually sell AT MSRP.

3 years later, still the same shit. Dealer has a brand new 19 in CW, the color I want, with a $5K markup along with addons, bringing the total to $44K and change before TTL. They have an 18 RR with a few addons for around $38K before TTL. Smh sick of this bullshit. I shouldn't have to go out of state to buy a fucking car that is 3 model years old. Ridiculous.
