Same thing happened with me. Be ready for those to happen a few times and to not find 6th. You’ll get used to it. Reverse is still a bit harder to find tho.
Yeah, also noticed reverse was a bit hard to find also. For sure will drive normal for awhile to get used to the new spacing.

its kinda interesting that china decided to have a completely different design to their front crash/support bar. wonder why that is. :hmm:

looks good. did you mask off the mesh part of the fog light garnish?
Yes, i masked the mesh on both front and rear grilles, came out very clean, but i forgot to mask the support of the H on the grille and i had to work hard to remove the overspray

It's something i always wondered. Chinese civics have a 2 stage steel bar, the external one is thin metal and has some spacers clearly designed to bend in case of small accident and a thicker one behind. My idea is that they did this to add some flexibility to avoid frame rail damge in case of minor accidents, since fender benders are really common here.

Anyone on this thread find the picture of the guy with the blue civic with those ridiculous rims on it? Can’t find him to ask what rim he had

Wheels arrived so they were put on. 17x8 RPF1 on 255 Continental ECS. The OEM wheels were surprisingly heavy. Very heavy.

Also installed the Acuity throttle pedal spacer. Tried position B first but that put the throttle pedal way too high and unnatural. Position C is perfect.

Glad you posted this. I want to downsize to 17's RPF1 as well. How is the car handling?

Seems fine. I put them on so quickly that I never really got a feel for the stock set. The stock wheels are stupid heavy (30+lbs probably) and the tires were awful.

I added a $20 homelink unit from an old Cadillac in the cubby just in front of the shifter. Search Ebay for "Cadillac Homelink" and there are a bunch.

I snaked the wiring through the back side of the cubby with my phone cord, and then across to the fuse block.

Why not just get a regular garage door opener at that point?
