Honda Civic Type-R Over sticker dealer naughty list.

It's not ridiculous naughty, but because it is over sticker with add-ons it still belongs on this list for now. There is an ABM in the Cleveland area for $38,085, which includes tint, and interior and exterior protection. I feel there is room to get it down closer to sticker for a serious buyer.

I'm taking my daughter's car in for service tomorrow, and will see what the reality of it is.

I don't mind paying for "ad-on" if its something I can use. Unforunately, anything remotely useful to the customer has small profit margins.

Some of the ad-ons I got quoted for 6k include CF mirrors and spoiler cover, wireless charging and ambient lighting, 3m door sills, and lo-jack.

I got my CTR for MSRP with no only lo-jack, and bought Honda Care (8 years/100k miles) and Maintenance plan, and got a lifetime ceramic pro coating and clear bra put on for less than 4500.

According to my dealership (So Cal location), the paint protectant is Cilajet and the KARR is the dealer-installed alarm system.

Well, further to my post yesterday, the ABM Type-R at a Cleveland area dealer is MSRP + $895 for Ibex surface protection system, and + $595 for tint.

The tint appeared to be done well, but there was no further info as to the exact film used, and it looked like about 35% to my eye. The Ibex is both an interior and exterior protectant utilizing "nanotechnology", for what that's worth. There is a 7 year warranty that is included, and it does cover a lot of stuff, even if it was caused by you. I've gotta believe that the tint probably cost the dealer half of what they're asking, and the Ibex is probably marked up at least 500% or more.

The salesman I spoke with, who I've worked with before when leasing my daughter's Civic, thinks that the GM would knock $200-300 off. I think a serious buyer could do better. If it were me, I'd offer $600 over sticker and not budge.

I've got another 12 months on two leases, so I'm not interested for the time being.

Gents just got suggested to pay $9400.00 over sticker for a 19' in Houston.

I mentioned in the Si forum , but I gave up on Honda completely. No Type R or Si. My wife actually liked the ride in Si but we couldn't get ourselves to deal with sleazy Honda dealers. Moved on to Subaru WRX. Thanks guys for your help and efforts. I wish you all the best. 2019 - say no to Honda dealers BS.

Stopped by Galpin Honda in SoCal and they actually presented me a printed offer of $56K for the egg-shell wrapped type-r in showroom. Didn't stick around long enough to notice any other mods but looked stock.

I tried to make a year-end deal at Long Beach Honda on their 2019 CW that has been sitting for 3 weeks in their showroom since i was in the neighborhood on a little vacation. Sticker has a $1K alarm and $15K ADM markup. They didn't want to make a deal. I think it is strange because of the 68 CTRs in SoCal, 28 of them are white. it is by far the most common color. I also stopped by Hemet a few weeks ago, but they have drilled the front license plate in, so i was in and out the door in 30 seconds.

Just got my 19’ sonic grey from there. I noticed the custom wrapped one but my color still looked cleaner.

Long story short, I payed 1400 over sticker including accessories. I work as a salesman for another Honda store and they didn’t want to sell it to me under 4K adm. Pulled some strings there and got that price.

Definitely! I had a co worker who used to work for Dodge and had the demon for 35k over msrp
