I had a pioneer avh201ex installed in my sport hatch with the Metra xsvi-1731-nav wiring harness. The problem I’m having is the ASWC-1 and xsvI-nav interface when plugged in is blowing my accessory fuse. The shop said the access modules were bad but I want to know if there’s a way to find out if the modules are bad without paying another 100 bucks for new modules

When I was researching replacement radios; I got a general feeling that the steering wheel control 'adapter' was more trouble that it was worth. Twenty percent of the Amazon reviews for it give it only one star. It seemed to be temperamental. And a lot of folks felt that it was something that would stop working eventually. Good luck with it.

While it’s possible, I’ve used the same module i this and other cars just fine. I changed harnesses because this one has a CANBUS decoder for the SWC, speed pulse, parking brake, illumination, and reverse wires needed for some radios. I may have to do the old fashioned way and connect one wire at a time until I find the culprit. Ugh

Figured it out...I had the moduled plugged into the wrong plugs. Metra thought it was a good idea to use the same plug for each and I wasn't paying enough attention...swapped them and it's fine
