I don't know man. This is the first time I've seen a Corolla that impressed me.
Well the Corolla XRS launched in 2004 was something really nice. A guy in Puerto Rico found a way to plugin a piggy back to control some ECU parameters including VVTLi that made these car run as fast or faster than Civic Si/RSX-S. I remember seeing 13's quartermile times naturally aspirated. That is really impressive on a car without aftermarket support.

Yes, that amazing engine was made by Yamaha and it was underrated. Great power.
Almost bought a Celica with the same engine.
The other good thing about the car, its front suspension was also designed by Yamaha.

I just took over a lease for 6 months on an iM and while it is a pleasant enough appliance car, it's not very fast and is unfortunately a CVT. I truly hate CVT's and will buy manuals as long as I can.

That is a different car.
This thread is about the 2019 Corolla Hatch.
Totally different suspension, engine and transmission than the iM.
I’m well aware. Hopefully they made some improvements. Still wouldn’t buy one over a Civic.
