This issue happened once before, the issue rectified itself later on the same night. The car cranks but wont start, its a little low on gas but the car itself says it has 30 miles remaining. The car has been sitting for 2-3 days in the garage.

Here is the video:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Vid makes it sound like it doesn’t have compression . Any aftermarket alarm or remote start? If not add some gas and hook up some booster cables , hold the gas pedal to the floor . When battery voltage gets low the engine will flood .

Rule no. 1 of diagnosing a car that doesn't start, is to check battery voltage. If you have not done that already my suggestion is to do that immediately, you can go to your local auto parts store and pick up something to read the voltage for pretty cheap. I know it sounds dumb especially when your car is only two years old but trust me when I say that the battery is more often than not the culprit for no start issues.

when it happens, have you tried cranking on it longer than you did on the video? Also give it some throttle

Weak battery from the sounds of it, try charging it first and retry. Acc, trunk or lights left on?

Check battery, IMO voltage is too low and buy some booster cable.

We have 2 LX MT in the family , 2016 and 2018. Never had any issue.

My bet is battery is just slightly too low. Very common on the new Civics, because the battery is just too small CCA. Many threads on here about this issue too.

Harbor Freight often have a very nice digital Multimeter for FREE with a purchase.
Spend $0.99 on some cable ties, and you can get a free Multimeter !!

Another way to tell easily if the battery is low, is to turn the headlights on, just before cranking, especially if you are somewhere (Garage) where you can see the headlights shine on a wall. If they are dim, or go significantly dimmer when you crank, then it's a battery voltage issue (or poor connection somewhere).

May auto store will test your battery for free (with the correct battery/alternator test tool). In their interest as it might result is a battery sale.

If it's not a battery issue, (and it sounded to me like the engine was cranking well enough), then there are a whole mess of electronics that could be causing the engine not to start, or maybe you have a fuel issue.

In reality, there are 101 things that could cause your car not to want to start -- this is why the Dealers earn the BIG BUCKS !!!

You will find that battery performance and cold weather are related. And it has been getting into the low 40s in your area.

Sounds like a battery issue.

Same issue here; stock 2016 LX 2.0 MT
Car started fine after sitting overnight at 5°F
Four hours later it was 15°F outside. Cranked fine, but no start. Tried a few minutes later and it started just fine.
I'll guess I'll test the battery. Perhaps enough juice to crank the engine but not enough for other electronics.

Battery was bad.. The previous owner, the Honda dealer, and I never checked the water level.
