I have a 2018 Hatch Sport Black with 18" rims. A hidden pothole bent one of the rims today and instead of giving up $900 to the dealer to replace one rim and tire. I'd rather just buy a new set of rims and tires.
So I'm looking for advice/suggestions on a new set of rims and tires, trying to keep it under $1000. Black rims preferred, I hate chrome.

Unless the aluminum is split or cracked, it'd be much cheaper to get it repaired.

Do you need to stick with 18s? Go down to 16s and that'll knock off a few hundred right off the bat. Hell, a set of 15s with tires is almost $300 under your $1k cap at Tire Rack:

I'll certainly look into getting it repaired, that's a great suggestion.
Still looking into getting a new set in the meantime so keep the suggestions coming! =)

I’m sure a search would prove productive and answere this more definitively but you probably would have an issue clearing the brakes going down to 15”.
18” wheels tires will cost more than 17” but check tire rack and others and the delta is not that big. As you go to minus 1 or minus 2 sizing you will have a taller sidewall which will affect handeling negatively but make it less likely you will damage a rim.
Bigger wheels are driven totally by looks - seems the world believes you need 18, 19 or larger these days... used to be 16 was the big performance option. Guess I’m a retro grouch now .
And the new owner of a 2018 si with 18” wheels (getting a set of used 17” locally for snow tires), the fact an accord sport only comes with 19” wheels was a negative for me, coupled with the fact they did not have any manual trans versions I could drive...

Also +1 on repair it, quick google of wheel repair in your area turns up at least 3 places.

Tire Rack is a trustworthy source. Their list of 15s would be fine for stock brakes.

Agree on tires rack being a good source, I was just guessing as according to tire rack an si needs 17 min, surprised the sport can go down to 15.
And just guessing but figure original poster is not going to be happy with the look of 15 coming from 18 as a reg wheel tire combo, tire rack will tell you but won’t you have like a 70 aspect ratio? Not an advantage for handeling but awesome for walking curbs.

Oh and best budget solution is likely to check craigslist or Facebook marketplace for appropriate size wheels and tires. Just picked up very nice condition 17 rims with conti winter tires for 300, tires should be good for at least 3 years by the looks of things. Just need hub rings and prob another set lug nuts so figure about 50 more.

Thanks to everyone for the help, I did end up getting the rim repaired at $110. Unfortunately I still had to get a new tire and with only 15k miles on the other three I went ahead and got the same stock tire.

I bought a set of Riken Raptor ZR A/S ultra high performance all seasons and they have been wonderful so far. Great amounts of grip, good wet weather performance and all around just a good tire for the money. It was one of the cheapest tires on tire rack and I decided to give it a shot and I was not disappointed.
