Well
I thought I would post this for you all to see. I drive a Mini Cooper Coupe S 2013. That is the two seater, the one that the rear spoiler deploys up and down. So how does it compare? My wife has a Mini Cooper Countryman so I can compare both. Hers is not an S. (Meaning no Turbo).
The Mini Cooper Coupe S is very rough riding. Of course it is small. That go cart feeling. Be careful you may end up with trips to the dentist every time you hit a bump. Wear a mouth guard. At speeds of say 70 the steering is very loose. Afraid you don't have control of the car or you think the lanes are too narrow. Hard to keep in the lane. Focus. 80 is even worse and they drive like that here. Speed or pick up is fast, better than a BMW 325. I had one in the past.
The Countryman 2013 well. Nice. You feel the bumps but not as bad. At 35K leaking seals cost 2K. High maintenance. Drives nice. Maintenance even under maintenance contract??? Expensive.
The Civic 2019 Hatchback Touring. Drives like a dream. I hardly felt the speed bumps. Was this a Civic or a Cadillac? Or, have I been in that go cart too long. Pickup was more than adequate. Dream ride. Amazing. Visibility was great.
Sound System
The Mini Coupe has the upgraded Harmon Kardon system. Not great. I brought a flash drive to test the Civic. Seemed great. Much better. I like good music but not much into ripping off door panels and changing out speakers. After market is better but! The Touring model was not that bad. I did not test a 50K car just for sound. I am impressed. Ride is good. Sound system is acceptable or better than the Mini.
I could go on and on. Ask questions. Countryman stock audio. The Coupe fully loaded. Even rear fog lamps - really. Loaded.
So what is the point!
I want a car that rides nice. Great sound system. Maintenance is affordable. I drive 2 hours a day and runs the miles more than most. I compared other cars and come back to Civic.
Thoughts?
