Don't mistake me a Lamborghini hater, I love to own one, if I have a million to blow, I would buy a Lamborghini or a Ferrari, but I wouldn't use it for my day in and day out cars, like my city, there are the new comers and the local, 90% of the new comers got rich daddy, so you can expect what kind of car they drive, and if one day I win a jackpot on lottery, I would buy the most expensive car that I could afford and still keeping my type R to farting around town, oh an other things I will still keep my stock 94 civic si, I love the screening vtec sound, what ever you love just buy it, don't hate other people that have it, if you really want it there is a way to get it, if you are too late to get it, then it's your own fualt. I have to travel 800 km to get my car, and I am not willing to miss out this chance of my lifetime, who know they might release 1 batch integra type R, and I already miss that, cheers live happy and drive happy

@taiso0019

I would consider 0-60 the most relevant stat for real world driving. In which case the Type R is slower than ever car I listed.

Unless you are one of those maniacs who drives triple digits on streets and push your car to the limit.

So on streets obeying traffic laws FoRS, STi, Golf R, GTI DSG, basically every rear wheel drive and AWD car on earth is quicker faster and better than a CTR.
Obeying traffic laws by trying to do a clutch dump at every light and hitting 60 on what I presume is a 45mph zone? Damn bro...quit while youā€™re ahead. Your arguments just get dumber every time...cops must love you. Youā€™d help their quota every time you go for one of your ā€˜0-60 runsā€™...15 over is a misdemeanor around these parts.

I wonā€™t go over the real numbers you should be looking at, everyone has that covered by now...

Iā€™m also not going to discuss trying to go for Vmax on a public road on a public forum either. But Charlotte Motor Speedway which Iā€™ll be hitting this season for Track Night in America has a nice section to hit 100-120 before what would be considered turn 1. So yeah I say triple digits are plenty relevant to me.

And since you donā€™t appear to want to have any type of constructive discusssion...Ima shut down your beloved DSG right now. No, a stock GTI even with a DSG is not faster...especially with those stock all seasons. Youā€™re not the only one whoā€™s owned a Vdub guy...the GTI is not even in the same conversation. Iā€™d recommend a manual to make the Golf R less sterile around turns but then again VW doesnā€™t exactly have a class leading stick shift do they?

If all you care about is straight line performance to win your imaginary stoplight Grand Prix championship skip ALL of these (specially that Veloster) and go get an auto Mustang GT or better yet an RS3. Weā€™ll be at the track...enjoy whatever you end up driving. Or donā€™t whatever floats your boat...

Nothing strikingly impressive for me.

Let me think, nope!

Iā€™m sure itā€™s a great car but itā€™s not as good.

Well we bought a Veloster

We went with a turbo because we didn't want another 300hp, 20mpg car with a 6 speed manual transmission.

Now I need to start saving up for a Supra :)

@Boba Debt Congrats on the purchase.

I test drove the manual and auto Veloster turbos and was very happy with the fit and finish of the car. I can understand with the STi (still miss that car)

I donā€™t know if it was coming from a GTI but the thing felt very slow. It honestly didnā€™t feel like the boost ever kicked in. It was slower than my Fiesta ST. I did like the ergonomics and feel of everything and materials. But in the end it was to slow.

Iā€™m betting be N would be perfect car but they didnā€™t let me test drive it.

So I ended up with the Si. The first test drive sold me on it.

I really like the look of the new Velosters other than the hideous stock wheels.

Almost same here - I test-drove GTI and the Veloster Turbo R-Spec before the Si I bought, and the Veloster just felt slow. I'll miss the hatchback part (why doesn't Si come in hatchback??) but in the end, it was a pretty easy decision. N could've changed that, but apparently Hyundai dealers think they are sitting on a goldmine.

Had a 2017 GTI sport it was perfect, then it got totaled and VW wanted 100 dollars more a month to lease than the Si so that made it a no brained to me.

Yeah the Nā€™s look really cool but they have markups and the dealers think that they can demand that much when you can buy a type R for a few thousand more and have a much superior car. I bet they will be under MSRP in a couple years once they are still sitting in the same spot covered in dust...
