I have not been able to figure out whats going on or find any answers. So this has happened a few times in the last couple months. Some times I can lock and remote start my car but other times it will lock but not flash or allow me to remote start. Also I checked my doors and hood/trunk to make sure they are closed and still no luck. Anyone that can give me some info on this issue would greatly appreciate it.

There is a time limit on remote start. It's supposed to be 10 minutes on the first activation, another 10 minutes extension. Whether the extension works is another matter entirely.

Until the car is started using the start/stop button, you can't do it again. So let's say you remote start, get distracted for 30 minutes without leaving, and then you try it again; it won't work until you have started the car again.

You can also deactive remote start by pressing and holding the remote start button without pressing lock first. If you deactivate a remote start cycle, you also have to button start before you can do it again.

Ok so it works at home I go to work park go to lock my car no flashing lights but locks. Come out on lunch and still no flashing lights but locks and will not remote start. At the end of the work day some times it works and sometimes doesn’t.

I'm also having this issue with my 2016 Touring. Remote start stopped working 2 days ago. Now car locks and unlocks but lights do not flash. I'm going to continue searching for any other threads that might have a fix, but please let me know if there's a solution out there. My car is still under warranty but I'd like to know what I'm dealing with before taking it to the dealer.

I have not had my car do it for a while it may have been something in front of the shifter because I found a pin tuck in there on mine it was preventing it from moving all the way forward but if I find anything else about the issue I will post it here. Keep me posted on your findings as well.
