Which option would you choose?

After weeks and hours of reading the forums and trying to make a decision on what I want to do once my summer set of tires arrives. I have narrowed down my suspension options to 2 totally different setups:

OPTION #1 - go with Eibach Pro Kit and run these until struts die, then install Bilstein or Koni struts (hopefully they are available at that time)

OPTION #2 - go with HKS Hipermax IV GT coilovers. Pretty simple, going with a full coilover setup from the beginning.

I live in Canada and get lots of snow, so I am not looking for max drop, but I am looking for a slight improvement in stance to reduce wheel gap

The coilovers are going to offer better performance but if you are into that. Certainly more adjustability. The pro-kit would offer a more stock like ride. Big difference in price.

I am looking for the best option to live with long term. I've had springs in the past and they were fine, but when I had coilovers, I was far happier, but that car was slammed and driving in the winter was greatly compromised.

I'd rather spend more in the first place than having to re-do work (if I make the wrong decision)

Going to vote for the HKS setup then. You can easily raise them for the winter driving season if desired, and return to your preferred height in the spring.

You'll have to get an alignment everytime you change the height...what about oem si hfp springs?

I have buddy club sport spec coil overs which are similar to the hks. The coil overs will ride slightly harsher but provide more “control” I have adjusted them a couple of times but if I had to do it again I may say that the cost may not be worth it for the performance benefit unless you intend to drive more spiritedly/aggressively. The eibach springs will work just fine. It really depends on if you think it’s worth spending the extra money.
