I finally can confirm that this kit ads less than 1 amp to the headlight circuit. I’ll be adding it to the DRL circuit within the headlight itself. No drilling or external harness needed to power it. It last retained your OEM function for the blinker flashes when lock or unlock are pressed.

The DRL power wire doesn’t have to have power on it to make the blinkers work. This was one of my recent concerns. There are Red, yellow and black wires on the controller. The DRL is one as soon as red and black get power. Because red isn’t powered when the car is off I had thought the blinker function wouldn’t work. I can confirm it does. There is literally no literature for this kit other than how to wire it up. No power requirements listed. Will keep updating once I find the time to start.

Well. It’s been a hot minute but I finally was able to make some progress on the switchback sequential DRL turn signal upgrade.

Once I had the parts I could start to template the mounting out. I ended up using the signal board and positioning the led above the original centering it and then transfering the holes on the Profile boards to it.

I drilled them with a 1.6mm drill bit. It appeared to be the same size as the holes. I ordered 1.6mm x 5mm stainless bolts and nuts for mounting the boards. It worked out pretty well.

I’m going to put a dab of apoxy on the nuts to ensure they don’t come loose overtime.

i've got these aftermarket DRL board, they do switchback and sequential, but they are very dim under direct sunlight which defeat the purpose of DRL. I might change out all the leds using Pixel one. Only question I have is how bright are
PROFILE PIVOT ? Are they visible under sunlight ? Especially amber mode.

Ok. Finally done. I just have to bake them closed again and we’re good. I just can’t decide what look looks better. Original DRL on bright all the time or On low all the time. I’m leaning towards bright anyways.

I have a few comparison shots. It’s really hard to tell when not in the car.

Photos comparisons are ordered bright-dim-dim-bright-bright-dim-stock.

Stock DRLs are pretty blinding at full brightness @ night. That's why they dim when low beam's on.

Understandably but so are the headlights. I’m not sure if it will even be noticeable at night with the headlights on.

Yes it will . Headlights have cutoff shield so the light will not hit people's eye all the time.

Not really, which is why the Tourings are rated poor for excessive glare. They're reflectors and have no cutoff.

I just listed the donor set for an April to mid April sale. As soon as I can get them swapped in I’ll be selling them. I’d like to get $425 USD + shipping.
