Am I being unreasonable with the dealer?

Agree with Krees on the fight being more of a headache than it is worth especially if you don't care about the money. I'd leave them a poor (truthful) review and move on and never go back to that dealership again.
Sometimes for these kinds of things you end up going through more trouble than its worth to get the result you want, only to leave not feeling like it was worth it...speaking from experience. You're not being unreasonable, just pick and choose your battles.

I had a slick warranty salesman talk me into the interior leather damage warranty. Told me straight up that if I rip or puncture the leather it will get replaced no charge. I asked him for the small print when I picked up the car and he handed me the warranty info. I read it at home. It said nothing about the leather warranty. I contacted him again and after a week he finally gave me the proper info. It said repairs only. Complete replacement not covered. I sent him a direct email that said I felt like I was taking advantage and he offered the money back right away. Send me a check in the mail that was Kitchener Honda.

Honda of America got back to me about the case:
They were unable to contact the sales manager, so they contacted the general manager of the dealer. HoA said the dealer would have to complete the PDI and they should be contacting me shortly to schedule. HoA will call me back on Monday.

I do not want to waste four hours of my day sitting in the dealer so they can pencil-whip a form.

Give them bad reviews of you didn't like them..they get money kickbacks on reviews. Matter of fact go ahead and post the name of the dealership and salesman and manager on the forum. Maybe not the full name of the people for slander liability.

Honda has still not asked for a review. I'll leave a Google review in a couple days after I cash out the EasyCare things.

Gary Smith Honda in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Salespeople were Brittany (ignored my text about the gas right after I left), and JP (made up a story about me declining the PDI and called me a liar about the gas). Internet sales manager was Alan. Sales manager was Tyler.

A service advisor from the dealer left a voicemail about completing the PDI. I really don't trust them to not just pencil-whip the form (like it already is...somehow they checked my clutch...on a CVT) and I don't want to waste several hours of my life in the dealer for them to do nothing.

Also new: they did not mail my registration paperwork to the DMV in Texas. They mailed it to my Texas address, where I do not live because I am military stationed in Florida. The manufacturer's certificate (or original title, whatever you would call it) was in the packet along with copies of all of my paperwork, including copies of my ID. I had to fill out a power of attorney so my dad could complete the registration process in person, and pay another $50 in registration fees. The dealer did not tell me about any of this. I'm glad he was around to handle that, but I'm mad he had to waste his time.

Update again: They mailed a $120 check to my Texas address (again, I do not live in Texas) for "tag refund and overage on sales tax collected." I really wish these jokers would call before they mail stuff.

I finally got in contact with the service manager from the dealer I bought the car from. He blamed the dealer they took the car from for not completing the PDI and did not seem to understand that there were two pages there were supposed to be filled out on the day of delivery by the dealer.
After some back and forth, I explained that I was just looking for someone to explain why this happened and for someone to take responsibility. He did, while still blaming sales and the other dealer, which isn't really the same thing. I declined a pre (now three week post) delivery inspection because it would be a complete waste of everyone's time.

At no point did anyone (except for Honda of America) apologize, take responsibility, or ask how things could be made right.

All I wanted was "Oh! Wow, we messed up! I'm really sorry. We will look in to what happened and make sure that doesn't happen to anyone else in the future. What can we do to make it up to you?"

Customer service is dead, it seems.

Well once you sign on the line they stop caring. They no longer gain anything from helping you after making the sale, unfortunate how salesmen view the transaction.

All too true.

I'm trying to get rid of the $230 worth of prepaid service/key replacement and am being told that they will have to raise the selling price of the vehicle to make up for the difference...more than two weeks after I bought the car. Ha, yeah, right.

Edit: Just completed the online review for Honda. Full and honest feedback provided. Enjoy those ones!

Edit again: Just got a $150 check in the mail after canceling the prepaid maintenance. No increase in sales price required. Liars.
