mines doing it to with wheel turned fully to the left in reverse. dealership gave me the -its alls good but still does it . anoying and sounds like shit
I haven't had it happen in a long time. I think like what some said, it's just a pepple getting stuck near the brakes. I spray the brakes down a lot when I wash the car and so far no issues.

i had a grind that would be intermittent. it was a small rock stuck in between the dust shield and the brake caliper. Kind of a weird area, and it was impossible for it to fall away. I think it would wedge itself rolling forward causing a scraping sound, then when i reverse it popped back out, vice versa until i manually took it out.

on another note, I also get a random clank moving slowly. Not sure what it is.

I just had an almost identical sound as your 2nd vid and decided to see if it was a out of place shield...instead, I found a small rock lodged between the shield and rotor. Sorry, I should've took a pic. But now, no noise anymore! Damn sticky tires lol
I am having the same noise on my passenger wheel well in the front. I will check to see if it is a rock wedged in there. Will update this post once I’ve had a chance to take a look. Hopefully it is the problem!

Well this sucks... In top of my 2nd gear crunch / grind issue that I still have to take mine in for, I just had another issue arise today.

At work, there is a slight incline to where I always park. I always back into my spot which has a dip and then an incline that I reverse in to. Today, I'm backing up with the wheel turned and I hear a clanking / knocking or tapping sound (however you want to describe it) that kinda sounds like something is dragging the concrete or against something metal. It's hard for me to describe so I've attached a video below. There is nothing dangling below the car that is visible or anything that I nor anybody else can when I'm backing up. It does sound like it's coming from the front right corner but hard to tell 100%. It only does this in reverse in and on this area with the slight incline to it, it never does it when I'm backing out of my driveway at home or anywhere else for that matter. I'm going to take it into the dealership this Monday and see what they say. I'll keep you guys posted.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar to this?

In the video below, i reverse up the slight incline and then roll back down to reverse back up it again a second time.

EDIT / UPDATE

Well, I posted the original video above on August 5th and the noise magically disappeared so I didn't go-ahead with bringing it into the dealer hoping it was maybe a rock or something that just fell out etc.

Fast forward a couple of weeks to today, August 30th and now I've got a noise coming from the same area but is a completely different noise... So I stopped real quick and grabbed my phone to catch it on video as I am 100% going to have to drag it into the dealer now to let them take a peek at it and see what's going on.

It also only does it in reverse.

I had the exact same noise coming from my front passenger wheel well. They took apart the assembly there. Some rocks had gotten in there. Rocks removed, 45 min in and out of the dealer. No more noise!

Same clanking sound happened to me today. Freeked the F out of me. Messed with the brake shield but haven't checked if the sound is gone yet. I'll update soon.

*update
After a short drive, the clanking sound turned into a metallic scraping sound. Like the dust shield is rubbing on the rotor or something...

Ya sounds like a rock or something hitting heat shield. Ive also seen a leaf causing same noise inside innerpart of rotor and hub.. yes i said leaf and it was god awful loud.
I had a similar sound this morning while backing up in the parking lot at work. My car only has 286 km on it. Picked it up just on Wednesday. I found what the problem is already too. Its the backing plate behind the right front caliper. In reverse it seems it was knocking against the caliper/rotor. I check the left side and saw that the spacing was off it seemed like a stone hit against it and caused it to shift. I pushed it back and the noise was gone.

I am having this clanking noise happen like your first video rolling slowly in first gear and in reverse. It's coming from my front left (AU passenger) side and Honda has already pulled apart this assembly to not find a thing. I am going back in and leaving the car with them for the day so they can put a stethoscope on it and work out exactly where this unknown noise is coming from.

I will update if they find a solution.

So it turns out that when the tyre shop fitted my wheels and tyres, they didn't tighten the inner nuts for the valve stems enough. One of the nuts was loose inside the wheel and it was clanking. A trip back to the tyre shop and all was revealed and fixed!

Has anyone heard a noise like this one?

i had this same issue for a few days and then it went away. did you ever find out what it was?

I just had the same thing in the first video happen to me about an hour ago. Heard a repeated clank sound from the front passenger side as I reversed with the wheel cut all the way. Glad to know it’s not a major issue and may just be a rock or the brake heat shield misaligned. Thank you to everyone in this thread!

I had the exact same issue. Was a rock caught next to the rotor on the front passenger wheel. Check that one first as it seems to be causing the most issues. Had to use a knife and screwdriver to knock it out but it was the issue.

I keep a hammer in my car behind my passenger seat. Why you ask? To beat potential attackers? No, to use the handle to poke at my frickin brakes when rocks get stuck!
