Thank you for this! I was able to find a part I needed.

Feeling kinda like the OP @Mugenkb1 now. I got my gas cap door dinged yesterday. Originally there was a scratch but I buffed out the scratch and now the indentation is there. Others may not see it but I do. :(

At least the gas cap is easily replaceable, or so I think it should be haha.

Yeah I found some from junk cars, because the original part does not come painted from Honda.

So got my car back, kinda POed about some stuff. Just figured I should rant here. First of all, they had to take the front door panel off to take the mirror off, not sure if they knew that they didn't have to for the door handle. Anyway, door panel wasn't installed back all the way. Still had clips that didn't seat. They tried fixing it, got one area but missed the other. And then they broke a weather stripping that they didn't bother to replace. I kinda made a fit about it, just cuz I expected more, especially when they work on high end cars. I won't let them fix it which means they'll get their their filthy hands on the car. Easy enough to DIY, parts aren't too expensive either if needed. And I can make sure I don't scuff up the door in the process. Speaking of which, who ever drove the car left scuff marks on the door and ignition area and the steering wheel was filthy. And I feel like my mileage on the car increased. Needless to say, I won't be going back even though they supposedly have a 5 star Yelp rating.

I do have to give credit where it's due I suppose. Paint looks good, the dent area..hard to say if my eyes are playing tricks on me or I'm just being paranoid but I feel like I can see some super minute unevenness if I really wanted to. But whatever.

Just annoyed about the scuff marks and the poor attention to detail. Feels like my cars been violated. Never be the same

This is definitely the place to vent man. The quality control at a lot of Body shops really suck. Couple times have I had to go back to places and fix an issues. Especially when its a door and they forget to plug in the connection or something goes wrong. I would be very upset the scuff marks too.

I would leave them a negative Yelp review honestly. Just to give them a heads up if anything and let them know how dissatisfied you were with how your car was handled.

I'm in talks with the manager to see what he can do for me. Perhaps he'll make it right.

Oh yeah, and here's a before and after.

The work itself looks excellent so that is definitely a plus at least.

so I was minding my own business driving on the freeway, and out of no where I hear this big "bang" sound coming from the passenger side. Got to work and looked. And this is what I found. Mother fucker....car is less than a year old and this is on the rear passenger side door. If it was on the hood I wouldn't care since it's easily removable.

I guess my options are to get a new door skin or to have the body shop bondo that shit up and repaint right?

Same sh*t happened to me today. Two months into ownership and I heard a loud bang sound while I was on 680, I saw all small sedans around me so no idea where that rock came from. Got home and found two 2-3'' long scratches down to the primer on the left rear passenger door. Used dr color chip and it didn't blend in very well, prob need a few more layers.

Any dents? Or was the damage just paint related?
Looking back at my damage, I feel like it may have been a lug nut from a car that flew off, judging by the roundness of the edge.

No dents just paint. The primer is black so it's super obvious even from 5 feet away. I chose to skip putty/primer and just put 2-3 layers of base coat instead, maybe a bad idea, we'll see. Also if I skip the clear coat it looks like the OEM touch up only has the base coat, so doesn't really have any pearl effect on it

My gas cap has a mystery small dent, like someone elbowed it. But no paint damage, no idea how it happened. Debating on replacing vs just popping it out with pdr
