just curious if anyone has done this yet? I’m curious how dimming works. I did this to my old car and it was 1000x nicer when opening the door but awful when dimming since they didn’t light up, so I’m curious if the civic has the same issue

I installed interior LED lights. The kit I bought I wouldn't recommend. They look nice but don't include vanity lights and the lights above the rear seats are too small for that housing(small LED panels work in the rear, but a larger one would be better). They work for the map lights, front and back, and the trunk. I've seen custom lights for the CivicX I believe. You can search around, I think the sponsor here named TypeRleds sells them. I can't help you with the dimming question, I turned that off on my car. The lights never come on inside unless I click them on manually.
