Was driving out of my driveway and I see a young mom with her 4-5 yr old boy walking so I stop , the kid looks at my car the entire time they’re walking by. When they cross to the other side,as I’m about to pull out to the street, the kid turns back and yells “I like your Lamborghini!” my girlfriend and I start laughing (in a nice way) Wondering what made him think it was a Lamborghini. I have a muffler delete so when I drive out my driveway it sometimes pops nicely after a warm day. Who knows what the little guy thought in his mind

When I first got it back in 2016 I got many compliments. Many would be mind blown when I told them it was a civic. Their usual response would be I thought it was the accord because it is so big. Now a days I get nothing, maybe because in California 2 out of 5 are a 10th gen civic
Lol guess we're lucky up here in Canada. 9/10 vehicles on the road is a truck or SUV. I usually don't see another civic when I'm out driving. If I do, it's only one per drive, usually in a parking lot I'm parking in cause I look for them to park beside. I'd say I see 1 civic per week (of the 10th gen.) I still get compliments of mine up here, most people haven't even seen the 10th gen up close, everyone who sees it comments about how nice it looks lol

True that. I see 10th gen hatchbacks and SIs everywhere here now.

i haven't received any comments on the car from strangers since owning it for 2 yrs already... now thats funny!
Californians tend to be much snobbier and less congruous. Plus based on other posts in here I'd say it's a more common vehicle in this state than others.

That being said, I've only owned the car for six days and I have yet to receive any comments (no place where I could really), but I haven't looked around while driving to see if heads have been turning yet at all since I'm still so focused on my own car myself.

I was at a Shell gas station, filling up there for the first time... but I just received a rewards card thingy there and was sitting in my car at the pump trying to pair my account with my phone, when some jackass had the audacity to knock on my just-waxed vehicle with his stinky paw-knuckles asking me to move out of the way. I nearly flipped out. He had to right or regard to do what he did with what should have come out as a great compliment to my vehicle only! What if my passenger is in line inside waiting to pay cash for the pump that I am at? He had no reason to do what he did.

Sorry, carry on...

My car got ricer of the day on Facebook due to a decal I put on it. Others have said it looks like a transformer. Btw, the decal says Locally Hated. I don't know what I would have gotten if they saw what is on the back glass.

The only "funny" thing I've gotten was my coworker asking me if it was a V6 or V8 lol

I've been asked multiple times "did it come like that?". Anyone that has talked to me has had always had positive things to say. I certainly get plenty of stink-face looks but no one verbally complaining to me yet.

Had a funny-ish comment from a coworker a while ago. Was outside in the parking lot at work taking a break and our legal/HR guy was getting in his car (an audi A3) and asked, "What kind of car is that?" I told him it was a honda civic (coupe)."Why does it look like a sports car?" I laughed... um... i mean... it's sporty... "I like this, i like the shape. I want this shape" as he made hand gestures about the rear slope of the car. I mentioned to him, "yea it has a turbo too!" and he oddly replied, "oh i don't need turbo.. higher insurance costs" i didn't have the heart to tell him his A3 was also a turbo charged.

No joke. I just traded my 2016 civic lx for a 2018 civic hatchback sport and after we finished signing papers i went to get groceries and this old couple passed by us and tells me I have a cool ride and they wanted to swap.

I was at Sonic a couple months back and the girl who brought me my food asked if it was a "sports car".

My son's friend's mom asked what kind of sports car is that? Proof that stock LX's are magnets...

Come down south to Toronto, and you can't drive for more than 2 minutes without seeing a 10th gen Civic - 95% of which are sedans.

My first week of owning my Hatchback sport LSM, an orderly lady went out of her way to tell me she really liked the car lol. Other than that I had a guy in a GTI at my daughters daycare ask if I had a type R... he said the wheels made him think that.... but like did he not notice the no wing?? Can’t blame these Volkswagen guys for not knowing...
