Also heard this, wondering how much stiffer the pedal is than 2+. I wouldn’t want it any stiffer
idk but i think the stock pedal is lite af. doesnt even feel like im pushing anything. how stiff is that 2+ compared to stock? Im thinking the stock pedal could be increased 200-300% and not be a problem for me. commercial trucks(class a/b) have the stiffest clutches I have ever felt, changed my mind on what a stiff clutch was.

It’s significantly stiffer than stock for sure.

Hey BoostedDreams, does the lighter flywheel make the car feel any peppier?

I’ve only put 70 miles on it and I’m barely hitting boost so I can’t give you a fair assessment. Mine is roughly 8lbs lighter than stock, they make an aluminum one which is like 21lbs lighter. I have down shifted conservatively a few times and it does rev noticeably quicker.

how does that flywheel change the driving dynamics and feel?
It’s suppose to let the engine revs drop and increase at a quicker rate. The aluminum flywheel will give even more drastic results with minor chatter. There’s a thread with video comparison on the Engine and Tuning forum. I’m still breaking mine in.

I am leaning towards the Spec Stage 3 with aluminum flywheel myself. I don't have a slipping clutch, yet, but I am saving for one to head it off hopefully before it happens. There really aren't a huge amount of aftermarket options right now, but the Spec does seem to be the best combo of reliability and longevity right now. I would love to explore the Type R retrofit, but it would have to be ironed out and mainstream before it would be a cost effective solution. Hopefully some other companies come out with some more options for us.

Definitely wish there were more options. I want a clutch upgrade that's gonna last and a pedal feel that is relatively close to stock. Stage 2+ at 20k-65k miles is ridiculous.

what problems? links to any threads reporting problems with the 350?

also, does the fx 300/350 only last 20k - 65k miles?

I haven't heard any other manufacturer make any specific mileage claims. So you don't really know if that's "ridiculous" or not.
Your right I dont know but who can justify purchasing a clutch every 20k miles if your hard on it. That would be crazy expensive for a daily driver with only a tune. Now for the people who race it then that might be a good life out of the clutch. Just saying for most people I dont believe that 20k-65k is enough.

spec said that 2+ will last 20k-65k

im thinking about the 3+ they called it "the longest wearing unit you can buy"
Where did you get this information? I am banging my head against the wall trying to decide on which Spec clutch to get. Do you think the Stage 3+ will last longer than 2+? 20k would kinda totally suck but I would probably be fine if it lasted 50k or so, as long as I can still drive it moderately hard and it last that long..... If longevity doesnt change between the stage 2+ and 3+ The only difference seems to be is if I am going to upgrade my turbo or not.... 2+ seems to hold the power that comes with a Tune, Flex Fuel, CAI, DP/FP
