is the 1.5L motor on the SI is the same on the fit?

Sorry for the noob question lol! But if it’s the same (which I don’t know) would the iVtec cams fit the SI? I’m looking to see if we can get VTEC turbo also!

It’s a cool idea, but no, I think the turbo 1.5 engine is significantly different with regards to cams and timing components. To add VTEC, a lot of things would have to be modified and added beyond just the cams. It would involve a whole reworking of oil passages and the addition of a VTEC solenoid to activate, and possibly different valves. Then, of course, there would have to be significant modifications to the tuning of the car.

Thanks!! Yes makes sense. I just think that there are still aftermarket parts not out yet. Like cams, fuel rail, intake manifold etc. So I thought that a cam with VTEC would have been awesome
