Type-r front Subframe brace

I received mine but still need to install!

Fits 2019 si sedan

Is this really beneficial to the non type r?

If you have an upper it will really work to help tighten it up even more up front. You won’t really feel the difference unless corner carving a lot but it does help and it’s onky 15bucks

Wonder why, since it's such a potent car, the type R doesn't come standard with a upper strut bar?

It doesn't come with one for the same the reason most cars don't. It's a fairly rigid chassis anyway. The extra power doesn't flex the car in the direction these parts reinforce.

I don’t buy that. Many more expensive sports cars come standard with the strut bar. It does make a difference when cornering and stiffening up the front. I believe I felt the difference after I installed mine. But in reality, I put it in partly for looks

Most likely the Type R doesn't come with a strut bar for two reasons.

1. Added cost
2. It isn't a huge difference over stock

But, there was a noticeable difference when I added the one piece Ultra Racing bar. The key is the fact it's the only one piece bar. All the others out there are hinged three piece and they are a bit less effective. Quick left right lane change / slalom type moves are much more controlled now and the front end just feels more solid.

I disagree with the statement that one piece bars are better than the “3 piece” the tanabe & Cusco bars are excellent & are a “3 piece design”

You can disagree all you want but it's just sheer physics. The more rigid a bar is, the better it works at maintaining suspension geometry. In general, what's more sturdy? One solid piece or 3 separate pieces bolted together?

The 3 piece bars offer adjustablity for preloading the bar. It’s better for helping tune your suspension. Also if suspension geometry is of concern notices the ultra bar does not maintain the strut towers in a straight plane it is curved...

i had both types on my prelude and i can say for sure a one piece worked better.

Installed on my 2019 SI sedan, no issues. Didn't feel any difference, but I'm sure it's helping something somewhere. Cost was 25 total shipped.

Its just a brace to stiffen up the car. Wont notice unless your track racing
