I asked spec how many miles should I expect out your clutch.

"Hi

I can’t give you a milage it depends on your driving habits you should get good life out of it

Sincerely,

LMPerformance Inc."

I understand everyone has different driving habits but it seems like they are scared to even throw a number out there. I know the type r clutch will last no doubt.

I want you all to check out these two videos. One is before the clutch swap and one is after. Keep in mind they are both being revved on a FACTORY tune. The lightweight flywheel makes a huge difference, and I can only imagine how much more with the settings through Hondata or KTuner. Absolutely amazing how different this car behaves.:headbang:

You can watch them through this link since the files are too large to be uploaded. The video in the daytime is before the clutch swap.
That RPM drop looks promising! I'm curious how much faster the RPM's will drop with the rev hang delete from Ktuner.

I wanted to email spec but there are 2 spec websites one is spec the other is a spec dealer. Just emailed the real spec
In the 240mm st2+ setup like that one, the high end range averages 65K and the low end about 20K. This is a range on modified cars, obviously.

"Well, on the clutch table the Type R unit is hardly stronger than the Si (within 150psi), and certainly will not wear longer, as the diameter and material are the same. And we have seen , multiple OE disc lining shred. We offer modified plates for both and the Si unit is 100psi stronger than the Type R after both are modified, funny enough. Aside from that, with our unit you’d get a billet flywheel vs a cast and SFI certification for all."

It was on backwards! Tech oversight. Installed it the way it came assembled. Driving it home now. Pedal significantly stiffer than stock, little bit of a learning curve, but I like it! More sports car feel now! 500 miles here I come!

Awesome! How's the shudder on starts (if any) with the steel flywheel?

BARELY there. I can feel it ever so slightly, but not enough to really call it a shudder.
How about with yours ?
With your setup, are you able to start in first without touching the gas like the OEM setup?

Hoping that mine acts the way it is cause of the flywheel. "Less dampening = More drivetrain vibrations felt" is what I'm hoping is what it is.

Because I cannot start in 1st or reverse smoothly without adding up to 2,000 RPMs on the gas pedal. And if I don't add enough, the car shakes and shudders a bit. If I balance it correctly, I can have a smooth start for the most part.
