2016 Type-R what form - hatch, coupe, sedan?

Question: is there a difference in weight and weight distribution between the coupe and 5 door? Is weight shifted towards the rear at all with the hatch?

There will definitely be a difference in weight, specifically with regard to the extra doors. To that point, adding rear doors would (in my opinion) shift the weight balance slightly toward the rear.

If I remember the current coupe is 62/38 weight distribution. Anyone know what the ideal weight split would be for a FR layout car? I know it's not 50/50...

Yep definitely will shift more weight to the rear tires but being FWD the benefits are more about balance and handling than being able to put down more power. I think there are probably differences in a slightly stiffer chassis with the coupe versus the hatch.

I've read before that 60/40 was about ideal, but not sure how scientific that was.
