Ok, I don’t know if this is where this kind of post belongs but I came across this post and was baffled as to why this member could not find their answer. And not just through searching; it’s a sticky for f’s sake!
Honda Civic 10th gen Slight rant about people who don’t search AD6274E5-B809-4392-B055-489C0546D3B5

And while I applaud CobraCommand for replying in the very next post with the correct info without any snide remarks, I feel like we as a community should somehow discourage posts and behavior like this.

Now I don’t condone flaming the OP when answers are easy to come by or the question has been asked a million times over. But something as simple as ignoring the post, or at least kindly, gently telling them to search for their answer might be the better route. I just feel like it’s a reflection of the world we live in nowadays: me me me, please don’t offend me.

I dunno where this is all coming from, maybe I’m just craving the turkey. End rant. Happy Thanksgiving CivicX!

I'm not sure why anyone would use the forum search at all. Google search is much easier and often produces links to relevant forum posts (here or elsewhere).

Yupp, trust me it baffles me too, especially in the other car Facebook groups I'm in. People ask the same question over and over again, yet Google and the search function within the Facebook group would answer all the questions 10x over. People are LAZY.

Nailed it

However the issue is when people have a random idea pop into their head, they immediately make a thread about it. There was like 6 Black Friday threads made. Put in a little effort or atleast browse the recent posts quickly before making a thread.

You mean we don't need 4,327.123 posts about the difference between the PRL race and street MAF housing, how CV boots get torn when people pull off front struts, or if Ktuner or Hondata is better?
