Hondata Flashpro NEW buyer question

Hi, I am interested in buying a used hondata flashpro for my civic hatch 1.5t manual. What are some things I need to lookout for when buying a used flashpro from a seller?

Also do I need to worry about the tune affecting the long term reliability of my car?

Skip the Hondata and go Ktuner! that's what you should be looking for

Just make sure it's been unlocked by the seller. As far as reliability concerns, you should be fine using a base tune.

What are the benefits of Ktuner as opposed to Hondata and vice verca? I'm looking to leave my car relatively stock and don't have much experience tuning

Ktuner has more user adjustments to improve drivability. I've had both and honestly Hondata is fine too if you want a simple set and forget setup. We're lucky to have 2 quality tuning choices for our cars.

I have the flash pro. I have no complaints. Any problems I had I contacted hondata support and they were able to help me promply. They also update their stuff and provide easy to use features (and complex ones too). You should beware of getting a unlocked flash pro from your seller! Make sure all cables are with the device too. Additionally, be sure to specify what flash pro you're looking for, be it CARB or RACE. Good luck!
