RIP Northern VA

Amazon just announced that their 2nd HQ is coming to Northern VA and NYC. 66 traffic is already a nightmare and now it is about to become quite possibly some of the worst traffic ever because of the new Amazon HQ. Anyone around here commute in this area?

I love 66 traffic.. Consistently bad except for 6am on weekends I commute down 66 everyday, both ways, from Centerville to DC.

66, 95... Just bad traffic all over in NOVA now. More toll increases? lol

Haha probably. Capital beltway is defenitey gonna be a sight to see as well. Hopefully house prices increase though, would love to see my property apppriciate (although it obviously does suck for people looking for a house).

More traffic + same bad/idiot drivers (seriously, how some of these folks ever get their licenses I'll never know) = NoVA's reach for the top of the list on nation's worst traffic. Last I heard, we were at #3 or #5.

Betcha a lot more facilities will be trying to enable telework. Not possible for every agency in the DC area, but many others could probably manage it.

Hopefully those employed there will take the metro like most folk who work in that area. I live in Springfield so I'm really not looking forward to the commute that's only going to get worse :/
