My car wouldn't even crank. It was left alone during the snow storm and the following day. 3rd day I get into the car and it wouldn't start.
It tried, said electrical problem. Turned it off. Tried again, same issue. Finally the 3rd time it cranked fully on.
The LCD display wouldn't even light up so I couldn't disable the low heater that I always have set to on.

I'd take it to Honda, but I run an HID kid with the harness going directly into the battery.
And the kit was installed professionally by a garage that specializes in car electricity.
Probably going to pepboyz or autozone and get one of those sick diehard batteries.

Most likely a bad battery. I have been seeing and hearing the Honda batteries in the US cars fail within 1-2 years. Not sure which supplier they are using for their batteries, but that's crazy short life span.

Should be covered under warranty if it fails Honda's battery test.

I did last year, and will this year too. I do have the summer tires but they gripped fine in the snow (and remember I'm in NC so it's rarely if ever a massive accumulation) as long as I took my time. I have an '03 Jeep Wrangler with 4WD but honestly the Civic is safer due to the TCS and ABS. The Jeep may have 4WD but with no ABS, driving that thing even just on wet roads (let alone snow) is challenging.
Is your Si Blue, or Gray? I live on the Raleigh side of Garner and have only seen 2 other 10th gen Si driving around. It is a rare breed around our parts. I have never seen A Type R drive through. Only in Raleigh or Cary have I seen Type R.

Mine's a blue Si coupe. There's one exactly like mine that works close to where I live, as I see it every time I go into a particular shopping center. I'll leave that part out to preserve everyone's anonymity, but if that's you, then I've specifically parked next to you when I've shopped at the store that's next-door to where I think you work. :)

I've seen a red Type R in Garner ONCE. It actually pulled into the same shopping center I'm referring to. It's the first time I've seen one in person and I was blown away at how good it looked. I got my Si serviced at Leith Honda last week and my salesman mentioned they have a black Type R in the back... not yet spoken for. If it weren't for the seats (I'm a bit fluffy and there ain't no way I'd be comfortable in those seats), I'd have traded mine in for a Type R a long time ago.

That is not me but I know the one your talking about! I forgot about that one! I live rock throwing distance to that shopping center. I take my animals to the store near where it parks. Mine is WOP with Red emblems. Its nice to see someone in NC on these forums. 95% are in CA. Or at least it seems like it. You may see me wave one day. I usually throw a hand when I see a fellow SI. Rarely get a signal back. All good.

Ah, then if yours is the WOP Si coupe, then I've seen that one as well in a different location/shopping center. LOVE the color!! I didn't notice the red emblems but will definitely look more closely the next time I'm there (again, keeping it obscure). I did see a black Si coupe going through Garner not too long ago; I tried to do the same thing (wave) but the driver wasn't having any of it. Will definitely tip my hat if I see you!

FYI, my blue coupe has stickers on the rear quarter-panel windows... one on each side. If you ever head into the animal store you mentioned (it's where I shop too; I'm only a few minutes from that shopping center as well) and see the two Aegean Blue Si coupes parked near each other, you'll know which one is mine.

Small world!!

get an SLA glass mat optima yellow top if you're having battery issues. those things CRANK.

got caught in the first snow out there and drove on unplowed roads last week. between 1-3" on pilot sport A/S 3+ tires in OEM size. some torque steer towards the right from a stop but with throttle control and probably a boost/torque table limiter in 1st gear will probably nip that in the bud. i've never driven all seasons, especially in the snow. anyway, will be driving all season on the pilot sports, maybe do a weirdo fitment of 17x7 et35 with 205/45/17 advan ad08s i have sitting mostly unused on a different set of 4x100 wheels sitting unused from my project car. ride height drops an inch, but the et35 gives you a bit more track to work with in front, and they could be autox only. dunno.

if things get really bad this winter though, i'm going to have do something a bit crazy -- i have blizzaks in 205/40/17 from the same project car. i am pretty sure i can borrow some 17x6s from some vw friends in 5x112. i can run wobbles, and mind the right height decrease (more than a inch). the only other snow tires i have are x-ices at 60 profile on 14" steels from my old miata.

Update from Previous Post:

PreLog:
Car sat two days. One through a snow storm and then next day thawing out. 3rd day..... no start no crank until 4th button press.

Took my car to pep-boys since I didn't feel like sitting in traffic to get to Honda and them have them cry to me about my HID kit hooked up to the battery as well as KTuner plugged in.
PepBoys was customer service was great and I lucked out speaking with younger car enthusiasts vs some crappy old manager. Anyway, they tested my battery and alternator. Everything was within spec and they couldn't give me a reason for a no crank no start. We thought about fuses, but ruled that out after I eventually was able to turn the car on after a 4th button press.

So I've now been driving it for 2 days and the car starts immediately (still near freezing temperatures). At this point I'd like to rule out the starter motor too.
I also checked for codes on the KTUNER and all is clear.

At this point I am leaning toward a computer gremlin that coincidentally occurred during a snow-storm.
OR perhaps there is something fishy with the TSP tune on cold days getting the car to start.

Also running PRL cold air.

Once again would love to rule out anything with HID because I make sure my lights are completely off as well as the kit was installed by a legit car electrician. And it's been fine for months sitting not driven from a week.
