Black Mirror Trim

I am looking to vinyl wrap the chrome on my mirrors but I'm trying to figure out what color vinyl I should get to match the existing black trim on the mirrors.

It's obviously not gloss black but I can't figure out if it is more of a satin or a matte black. Any thoughts or input?

Sort of - I went with a matte black vinyl wrap and it looks good.

Cool thinking of doing this myself but in a gloss black (not sure if it'll look good tho). Did you vinyl wrap it directly or removed the cap and wrapped and reinstalled the cap?

I actually bought this extra chrome piece of trim that covers that spot on the mirrors and wrapped that before I put it on. A bit of an inelegant solution but it worked well enough.

lol I guess I can take a closeup photo if you'd like but my garage photos show pretty clearly that the mirror trim is black

I don't dispute that it's black. Just curious of how/what the result looks.

Thanks thinking of giving this method a go now. Did you have any gaps? I heard a lot of the cover caps you get, leave a few cm gap, so I guess you'd have to wrap the actual mirror cap where the gap would be to blend it. Yet to see any mirror caps being sold that don't have this gap.

I had a look but all photos seemed to have the white oem cover. If Tina is the car in question.

I apologize, I misunderstood your initial question. I blacked out the chrome trim that is on my mirror not the entire mirror - my mistake!

Ohh gotcha! haha my bad. We have to pay extra for the chrome trim over here in Aus, lucky you
