Am I the only one who has low gas mileage from 27won intake? I have a 17 si and since I installed it, my gas mileage went down to 26.4, my current mods are ktuner with tsp tune stage 1, greddy exhaust and the 27 won intake

Could it simply be that you're pushing the car harder and more often? I know my MPG's have dropped since I got Ktuner for the same reason. Hard to resist the extra power.

More power......less mpg.

Look at the mpg numbers of a Type R.

Can't have it all.

BUT.......a stock SI is a great compromise of power and mpg and since this engine likes 91 octane I don't want less mpg.

I asked TSP if they're going to release an "economy" tune that will work with the PRL Cobra CAI Race but haven't heard back yet. I know it's a different intake than yours, but I'm sure lots of people are looking to mod, but still have a somewhat econo mode to switch into also. If I'm going to lose more than 5 mpg, I simply will keep it stock and just use the Ktuner and Stage 1 tune when I want to play, and then just stock sport mode for commuting.

If you want fuel economy, leave the car stock. That being said, I'm sure a CAI alone wouldn't lower your MPG. A change in driving habits would definitely do it... Driving to hear the whoosh as one example.

Are you sure it is not just winter fuel blend causing the change?
