If you buy your desired material, i'm sure you can cut apart the panels of the stock one to use as a template to cut your new material and stitch up. I'm no good at sewing, but I think even I could handle it

They are not universal fit, so no you can't buy a random one and expect it to fit. Check out redline goods, or search Ebay for your specific car.
