I actually test drove both a manual 17 GT and ecoboost. Thought they were extremely slow and little value.
Slow compared to what? I mean the GT is nearly 3 seconds faster to 60 mph compared to a Si.

I must add they were not the 1LE or the PP1-2. I may go test drive one. However, If i go american V8 i'd preffer a corvette. they hold their value much better

Like... A mustang GT and a Civic Si both leave a light at the same time... when the Mustang gt hits 60mph a Tesla model S can take off at that exact moment and still get to 60 faster than the Civic Si. That is how much difference there is lol

Yes, a stock civic SI is extremely slow and I would never want one. However, I've been tuned since new. Good summer rubber alone knocks off .8 seconds already beating a mustang GT off the line. Add another 500 RPM to redline and no need for a 3rd shift. The head is the same as the fit and will take the higher RPM.

Very tempted to raise redline, but will be waiting a long time.....

IDK man... show me a stock turbo TSP stage 1 car running 12s... I'll wait... Fastest TSP S1 car I have seen was High 13s... a second and a half and 15+mph slower than a manual 2018 MGT. I guess my point was how is it slow? A stock ecoboost (gross) is even faster than a TSP S1 Si... let alone one with a tune and other bolt ons. Its funny all this is making me feel like a mustang fanboi but really I just like facts... and the facts are what they are.

Now that I am thinking of it... isnt a 4cyl turbo 1LE camaro faster too? Why yes it is. lol

In anycase still keeping my Si and saving for a weekend sports car. R32 GTR or 2nd gen Viper GTS..... decisions decisions.

I'm not talking about 1/4 Mile times but real world trips to the grocery store and work performance.

Passing times from 30-60 are faster on a SI TSP s1 than the GT. That's where the GT felt extremely slow to me. And also still slower than my old e46 M3 at higher speeds

Lebanon Ford is right outside of Cincinatti, I was there 2 weeks ago looking at these Mustangs, they had three of them on the floor with Whipple Superchargers making 800 HP, they were all spoken for. You can also put in a Roush Supercharger making like 740 HP also for $39,995. For a few more bucks they can install Hellion twin turbos which can put down like 1K HP. The base car for these builds is right off their lot, you go pick out your color and whatever options you want. These are brand new cars, the cars and the chargers are warrantied and can be delivered anywhere in the country for additional shipping costs. I don't work for them and I don't get a kickback. Also if you order a dozen of them you can probably get them even cheaper.

Does this come in a "not Mustang" option?:D

That's a nice deal, though. I'd have a hard time dealing with that interior at a $40k price point. But, I'd also have 800 reasons to overlook it!

Honda Civic Si among 2018 Car & Driver 10 best cars. That’s enough for me. Pssstt...there’s more to cars than straight line acceleration and speed folks. Also I couldn’t imagine getting the amount of compliments with something like a Ford Mushtang, as I do get with the Si on a weekly basis. Who knows, maybe it’s our LED lights we get on Canadian Sis that make the difference?
If I’m fortunate enough, my next sweet ride will be a sexy Jaguar F Type, to be along side this Si. The Si is a amazing car, and a keeper!

I think they put a blower on some of the Ford pickup trucks there too. These are base Mustangs, but base cars these days come pretty loaded anyhow. They come with pretty much everything an Si or CTR comes with, the Mustangs don’t come with a whale tail on the back or a hole in the hood like the CTR.
