Not a reliable news source
Driving.ca is an imprint of Canada's National Post newspaper, the country's second largest National Newspaper. It is a very reliable source. I don't see bait ads on that site or any signs that it's a disreputable source. They have actual automotive journalists writing for them. They just reviewed a Panamera GTS.

I read their original article and it is quite well-written, and I say that having published in peer-reviewed academic journals in the electrical engineering field. They're basically summarizing what CR said, and it's a decent summary.

On an unrelated note, driving.ca has very nuanced content, I slot them alongside C&D, only they're smaller.

Honda did the Software update (Band Aid or Cheap Fix) for the 2015 Acura TLX/Pilots and still trannies failed. People were better off with there trannies replaced rather than the software update.

2018/19 models Honda updated the transmission with new internal components including clutch material and actuators
