So I'm buying a new civic tomorrow the 2017 leftover lxp coupe is 19,300 otd, 18 civic lx manual sedan 19300 or the 18 civic lx manual coupe for 19,000. My problem is should I even consider the lxp being it's a year older? And are those prices a good deal? They're all brand new. The sedan is what I'm leaning towards but those hubcaps are God awful. Any different hubcaps or cheap oem rim options that would be on Craigslist ?

17,500 for a 2018 Civic LX in Ohio. Honda Financial has an advertised price of 17,oo0 for year end clearance.

The '17 is probably worth about $1000 less. Do yourself a favor... go to a site like KBB and do this.

Put in a compare a '16 and a '17 lx with, say, 10000 miles. See what the difference would be if you were in the same situation, but a year ago... and a year had gone by and you put 10000 miles on the car. Both new. Same trim. The only difference is the year. The difference in price you pay should be, at least, the difference between those examples. That car depreciated sitting there, new or not. Don't let them pass the depreciation on to you. $300 less seems like the dealer is screwing you.

depends what you need in a car. Sedan you can carry more people if necessary, coupe you can't. If you don't need the backseat then theres no point in getting the Sedan. And if you are going with the coupe, you're better off with the LX-P because you'll get the push button and moonroof. Theres virtually no difference between '18 and '17 cars besides a few really small stuff like the volume slider not working on '18 cars so you're not really getting an advantage getting an '18 car besides maybe resale value since both of them are new.
