Everyone's pissed - Honda will tell you to go screw. A replacement car? lol.

Honda doesn't think we're special - we're just Civic buyers to them and their shitty dealers. You think if this video surfaced of a Civic LX being driven like this, Honda would give a shit? Honda Customer Service sucks balls.

Let's be realistic. I like my car and would be equally as pissed as you all but we know a new car or a buy back isn't realistic.

Go complain to the dealership and they will just give you an extended warranty and that's probably it. Maybe some compensation like free oil changes or something on top of it but would you really want to go back for a quick maintenance to that dealership after that lol.

Yeah, I would never go back there and a new car is stretching it I'd say but replacement value for a new clutch is what I'd try to shake from the tree.

Tell the dealership you intend to show the clip to local news sources unless they make it right. If their offer isn't sufficient to satisfy you. Burn em.

a lot of corporates are like that...you should see how Nissan treats their GTR customers...probably 10x worse then us and that's a 100k car.

not excusable regardless but just saying

Hello guys,

I joined to share this video. This is my car. I posted this on a facebook group and thought I should with everyone else as well. I got a lot of response on facebook.

I took my car to get the hardness recall upgrade done. Got curious and went over my dashcam video and found the most disturbing stuff.

What are your thoughts

Which metro Detroit dealer was that?

NM....figured it out. Luckily thats on the other side of town from me

Pretty sure its Tamaroff Honda.
The surrounding area looks way more like Lafontaine from google maps. I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt it isn't Tamaroff though, which leaves Page as the only other option.....I just got another opinion..it is absolutely Page, they are the only dealer with that big arch that says 'Service Center'

I stand corrected.

Shit like this is why I never let my CTR out of my sight. I had to get it inspected when I first got it since it was an out of state purchase. Firestone and Goodyear stated they needed to drive it into the bay to get it inspected. Nope, f that. They both said they couldn't inspect it otherwise. Then I guess you aren't inspecting it.

I took it to a local dealership here, Lute Riley Honda that said the same thing. I told them also, some other asshole driving my CTR wasn't happening. They relented and let me drive it with some service tech riding shotgun.

If this was my car I would be livid. Even if you threaten to go to the news unless they make you right and they DO right by you. I'd still burn them and out them to news agencies. Fuck them.

lol you guys are pretty darn good. I'm not going to confirm or deny that its Page or Tamaroff. Not until I get a confirmation they will compensate.

I will be taking my car into a shop sometime this week to inspect the damage. I'll keep you guys updated.

What about damage that is unseen or that wont manifest itself until some point in the future? That video is pure cringe. I would be asking at minimum a new clutch and lifetime drivetrain warranty.
I would be aggressive in asking them to assume the car and put you into a new one. Lawyer up, let the dealer know you are going to the local news. I would stand outside the dealer and let every customer look at your video. Dont be nice

Threaten to send the video to Jalopnik. Im sure the dealer wont be happy when their name is plastered all over the net and seen by a few million people

I agree. I'm speaking to a friend with lawyer connections to see what is the best way to go about this.

I'm sure jalopnik would love writing an article on this.

I have bonus footage I have not uploaded that shows the technician working on the vehicle, hood open.
A girl comes by and starts talking to him (my impression is they are dating)
Tech gets in my car and revs the engine.
YOu can hear the girl saying "What is that"
The tech replies "Turbo, turbo"
Then she says "It sounds like shit"

...

Super unprofessional. Who wants me to upload this? Should I threaten to sue before I upload bonus footage?
