What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Is there a way to turn off your side marker lights (through modification)? I want the clear smoked side markers for cosmetic purposes, but white illumination (or a combination of clear with white light) there is illegal in California. I assume that has to do with when they are turned on, and not just in general.

No other car I've ever owned has these, so unless the reflection is also illegal to give off a clear/white look I'm wondering if I could just get them turned off in general.

By law, I believe cars need side reflectors (if you look at other cars, most of them are part of the headlight housing). Honda decided to separate this for some reason. I guess you could just remove the bulb?

Gotcha. I didn't think much of the fact that they are actually a part of cars' headlights. I'm guessing removing the bulb is likely illegal as well though is significantly less noticeable.

You could just install an amber bulb.

Well the point was for it to appear clear in the daytime, but now that you mention it... would it still have that appearance? Or would the amber color seep through when the lights are turned off?

EDIT: Nevermind, just watched a video. That looks like a great compromise. Thanks!

Not if you use an LED.

Half true, I'd agree with you for the performance sake, but for Mugen parts on the car, it does have genuine Mugen visors, scuff plates, and door cup protectors, feels like Mugen performance part for this gen is still kinda limited, I can only think of that weird shape muffler and perhaps some transmission and engine fluid...

I've seen someone on here post and their bulbs are chrome, until they light of course.

At a previous time i removed the H's from my center caps to plastic dip them matte black so my caps were all blacked out, but now i wanted a different look. I took the H's off and painted the caps gloss red and left the H's matte black for a little more pop on my center caps
