The black looks better for the Type R and it covers up the boy-racer styling a little bit. I wouldn't get it though as I'd hate to keep it clean. I'd go white.
If its a daily dont need to think about it, get white. If weekend fun, enjoy washing and detailing, stealth look, get black. Remember though, with black everytime you touch the paint, theres going to be more and more swirls. Can invest in a pressure washer+foam gun+metro masterblaster and maybe hand wash once a month?

Cool! I've been back and forth on this myself with all of the scary comments about maintaining black. What made you decide?

The CBP just looks so sleek and the depth of the paint got me. I miss the CW though.

Looks good in pictures! I can't believe that dealer worked with you... they had a blue CPO in the showroom for $46k back in January.

Welcome to the CBR group hehe, any plans for the r?
Picked up winter wheels/tires yesterday, getting tint the whole way around today, paint correction/PPF/ceramic coating in about a month and a cloned ECU tune in the spring once she’s broken in.

Open to suggestions too.

Best plan: not allowing my son to drive it

Sounds like a solid plan all around with the tint, etc.! I'm glad you were able to get one so quickly it seems! :)

Just curious, what kind of hit can you expect to get on your insurance, as writing off $37,000 does not sit well with insurance companies.

According to Erie, I’ve been with them long enough that my rate won’t go up at all.
