That hose in the picture is what I am talking about. If you have that hose piece then you are fine. I was just saying that if you just had the MAF (the black anodized aluminum piece) and the bracket (the link you included) then you would still need the hose. If you have everything that is in the picture then you have everything you need.
Yeah I mean the dude if from PA lol he can just stop by PRL or get super fast shipping from them for the filter.

PRL is 209 miles from me...
So yes, I’m in PA, and since you’re in CA it seems like a hop, skip and a jump, but it’s not like it’s down the street from me...

They list the dimensions here: https://prlmotorsports.com/prlmotorsports4inletoiledconefilter.aspx#.W8ibm3tKhaQ

I actually just switched to a dry filter. I tried an AEM that ended up being too tall. I found aFe p/n 21-40505 that is the correct dimensions. aFe actually has a cool thing on their site where you can input the dimensions you need and it will give you the part number. That is super helpful. Of course you can clean and re-oil, but I wanted to try running a dry filter. I am just thinking maybe that is why you are asking too.
As I mentioned earlier, I don't want to get the wrong filter so ideally I'd rather get one from PRL, however if they don't offer a dry filter (which I was unable to find), I'd like to give the aFe a shot, but want to be sure that it will fit.

@PRL Motorsports is this the correct air filter cone for the SRI (it isn't specified): https://prlmotorsports.com/prlmotorsports4inletoiledconefilter.aspx#.W8ibm3tKhaQ

I know you'd rather have me buy the oiled filter from PRL, but will this aFe filter work on the SRI?

@WOPSiWOT any chance you have pics of the aFe on yours?

My apologies for being so obsessive about this, but this is my first non-cosmetic mod, and I'm really paranoid about breaking the car (I have to use it to commute 80 miles a day, so I can't afford for anything to go wrong with it...especially something caused by me and not covered under warranty).

That appears it should fit, though we aren't the biggest fan of dry filters, it should get the job done! :)
Also FYI, the linked PRL filter was NOT the correct one. These intakes use the short filter, not long. Short filters are also listed in the designated Civic Intake categories for replacement.

@PRL Motorsports any chance you’re online? I’m doing the install of the SRI, but the only instructions I could find were for the CAI. Are the first few steps the same? Is the lower air box supposed to come out for the SRI? If anyone else can help I’d really appreciate it!

You don’t need to take the lower air box for the SRI, just the upper portion.

Yeah.....too late...lol
It won’t hurt anything to have the lower air box out, will it?

No. Better. That’s the hard part too if you convert to CAI.
Thank god! Because I was about ready to the car on fire after fighting to get that damn thing out!
