They look great! how do you like them so far? any issues?
I love them. The wheels I think look amazing, and are definitely drawing more attention.
The tires are as expected. No where near as grippy as the stock summer performance tires, but the peace of mind that I have now with the weather getting colder is worth it.

I bought them from Craigslist :)
For 150USD for the set. They just needed some work.

I am running 265/35 snow tires
those are great wheels.

you're going the wrong way for snow tires. you want to go narrower, not wider since wider means less psi given the contact patch is bigger than a narrower tire. same weight pushing down on larger contact patch equals less psi vs same weight pushing down on smaller contact patch. result - you'll lose quite a bit of traction on snow and ice not to mention increased braking distance on slippery roads in winter.

it should be 235/45/18 or 245/40/18 max...not 265.

i've secured one of the first sets of these limited edition bad boys in 18x9.5 +45et and matte black concave face 3. delivery should be next 3-4 months which is perfect for the spring track season. also ordered a set of titan 7 t-r10 in 18x9.5 +45et in machine titanium color for winter use with michelin ice-x snow tires.

my oem nsx 19x8.5 +55et will remain the daily driver wheels running on 245/35/19 potenza re71r. the new te37 saga time attack as dedicated track wheels to be used with toyo r888r 265/35/18 tires. michelin ice-x 245/40/18 snow tires will go on the titan 7 wheels.

i refuse to do anything less than +45et since they're all really the wrong offset and change scrub radius way too much. also scca has approved 9.5" width and +45et recently.

Acura NSX F Wheel Set

Diameter: 19”

Width: 8.5”

Offset: +55mm

Weight: 18.9 lbs/ea (after powdercoat application)

Hub: Requires hubcentric ring (70.1mm – 64.1mm)

Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (245/35zr19)

Notes: Wheels were chem-stripped to raw material, then powdercoated in gloss black to match the OEM centercaps.

I have attached my wheel upgrade analysis documenting fit, cost, and projected savings based on available tire compounds in the 19” range.

I have a question about your cost analysis document. It appears that you assigned an expected lifespan of the tires to the calculations. It looks like 30K for the Pilot Sports and 10K for the OEM Continentals. Is this correct, and if so, where did you come up with those numbers?

The 30k estimate for the Michelin PS4S is based on 1) the mileage warranty offered by the manufacturer and 2) consumer reviews from Tirerack with quoted mileage. For the OEM Continental tires I originally estimated 15k, but after taking treadwear measurements myself at 5k and 7.5k I realized that they weren't quite going to make it. Even in simple commuting with rare trips to the canyons the front OEM tires wear away 3/32" every 5k miles. Here are my tirewear measurements from the OEM tires:

4,967 miles:

This is the treadwear observed on mostly commuting miles with a perfect alignment. While I could have probably gotten away with another 2.5k miles here in SoCal, I'm not really comfortable driving through rain with less than 5/32" remaining.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions!!
