Anyone ran 245/35 or 255/35 tires instead of the 30 series instead yet?

So last minute changes, I decided to go through discount tires and get me some Nitto NT555 G2 255/35R20. I bought them on discount tire for $123 each plus $14 for road hazard, I got them for $137 each tire shipped to my house. They normally go for $139 w/o road hazard. I did thier price match option, found a better price on tirebuyer.com and mentioned their website. They were offering 10% off the total order which would equal to $123 but they didn’t offer road hazard warrenty. I wanted the nitto anyways, the total was $548 shipped to my house. Can’t wait till they get here to take it to Honda to get them installed.

Steering feels alittle stiffer/heavier, road noise the same I dont know how to say this but while driving, you can feel that the tires are bigger. Corners I cant say as I drive like a granny. Shifting feels alittle different, not as smooth(its just my driving style), almost like it wants to grind kind of feel.

Ive gotton use to how the stock setup feels but need a AS tire for snow/driving long distances. That extra side wall will help driving in rain/snow and the oem 30 are tooooo low profile.

A few on here has this setup 245 35 20, and some are bold enough to go 255 35 20 ect. The DWS stands for Dry/Wet/Snow for those who don't know. Tires also has indicators(DWS) on the thread so which ever letter is worn first, usually the "S", will tell you the traction on snow is no longer good. Unlimited reviews on the ExtremeContact DWS06's, highly highly recommended.

The type R should of came with 35 instead of the WAY TO LOW PRO 30's on there. Hit a nasty pot hole and your wheels are gone/scraped.

I literally just took my car to the dealer 3 days ago to have the dws06 put on the stock rims for winter, 245/35. @CTRFK8 has the change in feel almost dead on though I can say the road noise is down just a cunt hair (could be the roads) and I push the daylights out of my car everywhere and the dws WILL NOT hold grip through corners at speed it just wants to push to the outside. I checked yesterday for any signs of rubbing and found zero so I would assume anyone riding stock height with this size tire on the oem rim will be good to go.

Oem are ultra summers where as 06's are AS so its expected to not grip as well on dry roads but on wet/snow the 06's would grip better. I live in Colorado so AS or full on snow tires are needed in Winter.

I got the "low tire pressure" notification today. Recalibrated the tpms and it went away for now.

hi

I am planning to swap my oem tires with 245x35x20 with conti dws. I can order them from tire rack. Do I have to look for a shop or dealer with special equipment to handle the oem wheels or can I go to any tire chain like Town Fair Tire or NTB. Will they cause any damage to the wheels? Thx for any info.

I got it done at tire chain. Saw some imprints on the wheels, like if you were to press your fingernails on soft paint where itll leave inprints. I think its from the steel/metal bar they use to grab the tire.

Anyways, if you get a tpms light, try recaliperating the tires.

Owners have had luck with mounting at discount tire. Otherwise it would a Honda or Acura dealer.
