Twice ( and more ) the price of other good brand. Why ?
Essentially it came down to me speaking to a couple of friends that work in performance shops local to South Florida area and they have all recommmded this brand. I plan to keep this car for a long time and don’t mind paying a little extra for a product that seems to have great feedback from.
I can’t verify from personal experience that it outperforms other brands, but when local engine builders swear by it that’s reason enough for me.

IMO signature series is like to kill a flea with a hammer . Do you need that ?

I always kept my many cars more than 10 years and 160,000 miles ( ( my wife too ) with any good brand at half the price.

More important is to change oil more often tan less.

I agree, but what’s the harm in trying a different brand ? Not sure what you mean by tan less?

It s harm your wallet if you pay oil twice the price.
I always change oil at every 5,000 miles,
Yes, you’re right, but thankfully I am only harming my own wallet. I just hit 5,000 yesterday. Maintenance reminder still says 30%, but as soon as my Honda oil filters arrive I’m changing the oil.

I almost always agree with everything @charleswrivers says or recommends. In this case, I offer a mildly dissenting opinion. :)

Your KTuner + Flex fuel probably did a number on your factory fill. I recommend stepping up to a higher quality oil or changing out a little sooner - whichever is easier. And if you really want to ensure the oil is doing its job, run an occasional oil analysis to ensure your wear metals aren't creeping up towards end of life.

These are small changes that probably won't cost you much. But IMHO, worth doing on modded platforms. GL.

@Design, no sweat. My point of view is based on my opinion and experience and no real quantifiable data to back it up, like UOAs. I'll conceed it could backfire on me someday. Extra maintenance or use of higher quality products (...actual ones, not ones only marketed as such, and I think most differences of the items you buy at least in brick and mortar stores differ only be price and the jug and not it's contents) may it or may not make a car last longer, but it sure won't make it last shorter. The peace of mind of feeling like you're doing good by your stuff, to me, would be a personal benefit that could out weight any mechanical benefit to some. I just don't have enough care or passion for my things to do more than the minimum.

We have a saying in the Navy... the minimum spec is still in spec. If it wasn't good enough, the spec would be different. It may seem like a poor motto to refer back to in life... but it also keeps me from sweating things too much. Good enough is good enough... then on to the next task.
