Some are complaining that CA prices are off topic, but no dealer has ever sold at MSRP in SoCal. I and others have found this thread useful to track market rates. Many dealers can't get rid of their black ones, so I'm sure you can get them down to $1500-2000 over.
Galpin in Mission Hills - last week quoted me $2k over for black, adds some minor accessories.

Norm Reeves went to +$900 on a red one for me last week (I passed because they wouldn't ship).

They wouldn't ship? I thought the buyer had to arrange all of that, I don't know if a dealership would?

It is not true that no dealer has ever sol at MSRP in SoCal. I got mine in July for MSRP with no mark up or required accessories.

Just keep trying. You can get it if you're really persistent.

Thank you so much for This. Norm Reeves does not have a black one in stock but i gave them my number to put on the list! Freeway honda in Santa Ana may be able to come down a bit more, i just need to keep working on them. They quoted me $5k over MSRP and that is not happening haha. Thanks for the leads, this is a good start!

I been calling around dealers in SoCal and can't find any cheaper than 5k over with added items. Are you guys getting them to come down from calling around or are you walking in and getting them to come down? So far no one will do anything just on the phone.

Called almost every dealership in California with a Type R, I've done everything over the phone. Typical closest prices I've got was about $3.5k over, with one exception of $2k over. I'm very explicit in telling dealers I'm not coming in without an agreed upon price in writing, so far that hasn't worked out well for me

Good luck man, don't cave and pay over.

Ya for sure I won't cave in. It would be a second car for me so I am in no hurry if they are not willing to work with me and I let them know that when I am talking to them.
