My only gripe with my new 2018 hatchback sport is the un-adjustable angle of the seat bottom. It is almost parallel with the floor of the car, and raising and lowering the seat feels like it will tip you forward and out. I can't seem to find a combination of settings where my thighs are fully resting on the seat (not raised off) and I'm close enough to the steering wheel.

I've seen a few modifications on other honda forums, particularly this one for the Fit: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/3rd...ub-forum/87172-adjusting-seat-lean-angle.html

This seems like the perfect solution to my problem, although the front bolts on our car don't go straight in. They're angled towards the back of the car. So it won't be as straight forward unless the rear bolts have room to slide. I haven't looked too much into it yet though.

Update: Looks like it's not going to happen. because of the angle of the front bolts, adding spacers under it would bring the back bolts too far forward to stay aligned. There's also no bolts under the seat to add spacers to like the other link posted here.

The reason the seat tilts forward as you raise it is because of the geometry of the lifting system. Also unfixable.

I guess I can go buy a seat cushion to lift my thighs up.

Hi all, seems like I'm pretty late to this thread, but I only picked up my 2020 civic lx a few months ago. Being 6'2" and liking to be somewhat close to the steering wheel when i drive, I bought spacers on Amazon and ran into the same issue that y'all did. I found these spacers and am planning on ordering them soon. As far as I can tell, these are the only solution since Honda decided to angle the front of the seat brackets. Hopefully this helps

Did you end up getting them? Did they work?

I got some of the 3mm ones i haven't installed them yet.
Did install a acuity throttle spacer. Which should help give me a bit more reach.

What were the measurements of the blocks?

I have a feeling they’re aluminum blocks cut from a bar and the holes that can be made with a drill press.
