Unless you own a Buggati Chiron, 93 octane is senseless in a economy (stock) sedan. Like the above post, it's not the octane it's the quality.

Must meet minimum octane requirement (87 for most Hondas), then cleanliness, and low moisture content. Not sure "Top-Tier" guarantees any of these. Referenced article might have more impact if it showed an engine part that actually sees gasoline in a modern DI engine (eg piston crown, valve lower sides, top of cylinder wall, spark plug tip). Other than Speedway and "Cucumber Farms" it would be hard to fine a chain station that isn't listed as T-T.

I use 93 all day everyday. I mean how much more would people save by using 87? maybe 4 bucks a tank? :dunno: Are we that cheap that 4 bucks a tank is going to break the bank? That's about $210 a year if you fill up once a week. I probably wipe my ass with more than $210 per year in TP.....
