That's unfortunate. I've bought 2 10th gens and did not have any issues with the grill on either.

Has anyone tried using some double sided tape on the area where the clips broke? I am having the same problem on my 18 ex-t.

My initial attempt was double sided tape but it failed ended up taking off the bumper and using zip ties and to this day good

Not while it's under warranty. Have you taken yours back to the dealer?

If you are comfortable enough swapping the grill yourself, then you probably are better off using the zip tie fix some have mentioned on here. However, what I would do, is put the original one back on, and make the dealer fix it. Then, put your black one on. I had to take my one day old 2018 EX-T in and have them replace the whole bumper and grill. Grill was warped and tabs mangled on the bumper.

I swapped the oem chrome grill for an oem black grill so I can already guess what the dealer will say.
If you did it yourself you’re probably screwed. Dealer installed a hatchback grill on my sedan and I’ve had issues since with it popping out. As of today they are ordering a new grill under warranty to replace it.

Disgrace is right, you hit it on the nail.
They need to go back the old school way of using screws to secure the grill in the bumper. Enough said.

The messed up part is, that most of the grill is secured on with screws, its those stupid tabs along the top only.

I know there are 4 big screws, 2 at the end tip of headlights and 2 right above the licence plate. They should have continued the same thing on the top row.

Make the top portion of the bumper separately as well so that it goes on top of the grill, not attached to the bumper.

The front bumper of Mazda 3 has the identical upper painted cover, no. 25, and it's separated from the front bumper, no. 1. With that cover separated, it's not stressed or forced to accept the contour of the grill.

It's a bad design by Honda.

Bump! I just noticed the same issue on my 18’ Si last night here are some pictures I took this morning. I tried to pop it back into place somehow but it wouldn’t budge one bit. I will be taking it to Honda of Hollywood here in Los Angeles to have them take a look at it sometime this week. I’ve only owned the car for about 3 months now. I had a 17’ EXT and owned it for about 1.5 years and it didn’t have this issue at all.
