Big Brake Kit for the Honda Civic – Part 1

A new blog is up about our newly developed BBK. Our intention is to make brackets that will allow this to bolt onto any Civic model, minus the Type-R. If we are lucky and interest is there we can probably make it fit on the Accord as well.

Considering that this is for race application as well as street, have you seen any warping on your aluminum rotors after a day of hard braking?

Also, considering that you made the argument for less unsprung mass, yet the whole kit ends up being a bit heavier than OEM, does this really have a positive effect on handling as stated in the blog?

Nice work 27Won. Adding that much braking power with very little impact to overall weight is very nice! That orange looks great but you can count on red being the most desired color.

+1 one for the red! Would love to get this kit for my Sport Touring!

Red will sell, but I’d love a black caliper for a more stealth look on my white coupe. Problem is there aren’t any solutions for the rear and it seems poser-ish when I see car with giant front BBKs and cute little baby stock rears, rocking caliper paint from the local O’Reilys

what are the wheel size and offset so i know what will clear these BBK's?

We will providing you guys with a "Wheel Fitment Template" that you guys can cutout and test on your wheels. This will tell you actually how the BBK will fit in your wheels long before you have the "Oh shit my wheels don't fit" after the BBK installation.
We will have the fitment guide available in the next couple weeks.

So uh... what are you doing to not throw off the brake bias? Hoping for piston sizes, and rotor thickness, (looks thicker) next blog post...
