I run an alky control unit we call it for our Buick grand nationals.. good for suppressing detonation... but won’t cool the engine down enough for the overheating issues I don’t think... there’s a few pictures how we run them on the Buick’s the nozzles go in the up pipe coming off the intercooler going into the throttle body wouldn’t be hard to run it on the type r if someone made a kit

Was anything done on 19 CTRs to remedy the overheating?

Guess I’ll throw up my findings from reading other people’s results from the track.

First get a new front grill, it will help.
Second go for a new hood to extract the heat.
Third get an oil cooler to help bring the temps down a tad.
Fourth get an intercooler.

Nope. But you won't experience it unless you plan on tracking the car in 75+ degree heat. You can actually turn the heater on and that will help somewhat.

Kutner just released some info, that there will be a new feature fan control so that should help

yep, will be able to engage the fan much sooner and it will help with temps....have not been able to test in high temps yet but previously was using a toggle switch for the fan

When your able to let us know how it works out using the toggle switch at lower temps if it helps!

Did you change out the stock front grill for one that allows more air?
