For the dual mode option, where non-Eco adds boost, etc....
Can the switch between these two modes be done on-the-fly? Or does switching between these modes require being stopped, turning off the engine, or anything like that?

If I'm in Eco mode and driving down the road, can I simply hit the button and be running the stage2 map?

Also...with this mode, is the regular Eco mode modified in any way? Is it just completely stock?
If it's stock, is it possible to modify the Eco mode? The way I'd like to have it work is to have a slightly modified Eco mode, but leave the Eco mode's boost level at stock level.

You can switch ECO any time, like you do factory.

If you have settings to alter ECO mode operation you can make those changes in quick adjustments. The throttle is dulled in ECO mode by default.

Sounds like then I can alter the ECO map so that whenever I use ECO, it uses the modified-ECO map I've I've created? Just want to be 110% on this point before I order .

Beyond just ECO boost targets some applications currently have a quick adjustment for ECO mode. You'd have control over any settings in the software when on an editable tune.

does the dual tune overwrite stock and sport modes or just one? like eco is eco, drive is the stage 2 tune and sport is normal sport?

I have a Hatchback LX with CVT, On the factory tune switching to S mode from Drive mode makes the car accelerate faster to where its easier to pass other cars when needed, Does it do the same thing on the dual tune or the stage 2 tune?

Yes. S mode is a transmission program and it stays the same with a tune.

Thanks, Glad to hear that, I like switching modes from time to time, Now I just have to figure out what my current tune is because I tried the on-the-fly feature using the cruise button but it's not doing it. Must be on the stage 2 tune.

I wish I could get the same good mpg other people, like you, are getting. My travel to work is 12 miles one way (7 miles freeway) but I haven't even reached 39 mpg, but close. Maybe because I have no mods, just the tuner. Thanks again.

Don't want to start another tread and my question is related-ish to this one.

I will run dual mode, so from what I read, I need to keep the Ktuner plugged in. I'm leaving in Quebec, Canada where the temperature in winter are very cold...

Since electronic + cold are not really a good match, can I be safe that the ktuner won't fail when it's too cold?

For the most part of the winter, my car will sleep inside a warm garage, but during the day, it will be outside.

Thanks for your help.

The KTuner does not need to be plugged in for dual tune switching via the ECO button.
I forgot to add that I will also use the Tunerlite apps in my headunit (another reason to have it plugged).

For the dual tune, everywhere I read told that it needs to be plugged in, but I will trust you over all others ! Thanks

It needs to be plugged in if you want it to save and load your on the fly map switching preference, if you have that feature available.

We did test the unit's functionality after freezing and it passed with flying colors. We have no reports of issues from others in Canada or other cold climates around the world.
